BOGOR, WEST JAVA — Dompet Dhuafa continues to collaborate with various parties to jointly fight for justice for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Alhamdulillah … Dompet Dhuafa’s efforts were welcomed by various parties, including the students of An-Najah High School. The young generation from An-Najah High School held a solidarity rally and raised donations for Palestine.
On Friday (10/27/2023), An-Najah High School sent a donation for Palestine worth IDR 10,000,000 to Dompet Dhuafa. Later, the humanitarian funds will be used for Dompet Dhuafa’s Humanitarian Program to help our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Since October 7, 2023, Dompet Dhuafa has distributed various assistance, including logistics, food needs, women’s needs, and winter needs, such as blankets and jackets.
The donations collected not only came from students, but also from the participation of teachers and parents in this humanitarian activity. In addition, this activity is part of the school’s efforts to instill a sense of humanity and caring among children.
“Starting with the Dhuha prayer, followed by a presentation about the ongoing conflict, the current conditions, and the efforts that have been made by Dompet Dhuafa for Palestine. The event ended with a joint prayer, which is expected to ease the burden of our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” said Nok Siti Maesaroh as the Head of An-Najah High School.
Welcoming this, Anto Langgeng Prayogo, a representative of the Dompet Dhuafa Collection Team, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the kindness given by the big family of An-Najah High School.
“The students of An-Najah High School were able to give encouragement to our Palestinian friends this morning. On behalf of the institution, we thank the teachers and those who have been involved in this kindness donation. Insha Allah, what has been given by the brothers and sisters, Dompet Dhuafa will give the mandate to the Palestinians who are in dire need at this time,” said Anto.
For one week, the humanitarian action at the school succeeded in raising donations from all elements. Nok said that the students voluntarily set aside some of their pocket money to be donated to Palestine.
“So, since the conflict in early October, the students and teachers initiated to raise donations for our brothers and sisters in Palestine by setting aside their pocket money. We can’t help much other than prayers and some of our wealth that we leave through Dompet Dhuafa. Hopefully what we do can alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially the prayers of all of us so that Palestine is free and can live comfortably,” continued Nok.
Nok also appreciated the good synergy that has been established. According to her, Dompet Dhuafa is always trustworthy and open in channeling funds from the community. (Dompet Dhuafa/ADP)
