WEST JAVA — Dompet Dhuafa Jabar together with Production House (PH) Aksa Bumi Langit invited orphans and people with disabilities to watch Tegar movie together at the nearest cinema. In Tasikmalaya, West Java DDV held a Tegar movie watching on Tuesday (27/11/2022).
Tegar movie tells about a story of the persistence of a child with special needs from birth who wants to have a life like a normal child in general. In order to get his wish, Tegar decided to leave home to get a school life and friendship. Meeting a tailor who also had a special need, Tegar could go to school and had many friends.

Tegar film motivates children and parents (especially those with special needs) not to despair, to never give up, not to be beaten by situation, and not to be ashamed of the conditions. Likewise, the environment must provide a space to work and excel for our friends who have special needs.
“It’s not us who are lacking, ma’am, but the environment that limits us,” the quote in Tegar film.
A series of simultaneous watching activities was carried out in various cinemas in West Java; Bandung, Tasikmalaya, and Cirebon. Not only watching together, but children were also invited to have exciting shopping at the nearest supermarket in the mall area.
This activity received supports from various parties, including the West Java DDV volunteer community and also foster brothers who participated in enlivening this series of events. A series of events was also held, ranging from watching, shopping, cooking classes, to having lunch together supported by West Java DDV volunteers.

“Hopefully this event can entertain and also provide motivation for orphans and people with disabilities. There’s a lot of wisdom that can be taken from Tegar movie and today’s togetherness.
