SOUTH TANGERANG — The Muliakan Yatim to Free Homecoming movement is an initiative carried out by Dompet Dhuafa. This movement aims to provide support to orphans and facilitate travelers to return to their hometowns for free. In its implementation, Dompet Dhuafa collaborates with Bens Radio in promoting #RamadanMendekatkan programs with real action.
On Monday (25/3/2024), Dompet Dhuafa held an iftar together and shared 100 takjil packages in front of the Bens Radio studio together with staff and singer Adam Vibes to road users. This action is carried out with the hope of giving happiness to anyone who contributes. After breaking the fast together, Adam Vibes entertained the fans by introducing their new song that was released a month ago, entitled “Tak Setampan Nabi Yusuf”, to entertain the fans who came.
Not only that, after their performance, the Master of Ceremony (MC) from Bens Radio held a fun game and gave Dompet Dhuafa goodie bags as an appreciation for anyone who could follow the quiz correctly. The activity then ended with a group photo with the crowd and Dompet Dhuafa.

Furthermore, on Thursday (4/4/2024), Dompet Dhuafa again held an event with Bens Radio, by collaborating with singer Anji Dunia Manji as the performer. For the second time, Dompet Dhuafa collaborated with Bens Radio in promoting the shopping campaign with orphans on the jadibaik.org platform. Together with the Community Service Institute (LPM), Dompet Dhuafa invited 30 orphans to its activities.
The event began with remarks from Dimas Muttakin as Dompet Dhuafa’s Community Relations Team. Dimas admitted that this year is the fourth year Bens Radio has assisted Dompet Dhuafa in acts of kindness.
“This collaboration of kindness is contained in the Bareng Yatim Shopping Program through the jadibaik.org platform, where Dompet Dhuafa and Bens Radio invite the public to honor orphans and the needy. In addition, thank God, the collaboration of kindness was also carried out in the event of opening with artists, where Dompet Dhuafa and Bens Radio shared takjil with local residents. Alhamdulillah, compensation for 30 orphans was also carried out in collaboration with the Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Agency (LPM),” Dimas said.
At the end of his speech, Dimas expressed his hope for the success of Bens Radio and all parties involved in the collaboration so that they can continue to share kindness, so that it becomes a jariah charity.

In addition, the distribution of 100 takjil was again mobilized before the Maghrib call to prayer, carried out in the same place and with the same target. By cooperating with broadcasters and staff, Dompet Dhuafa has carried out these activities safely and orderly. After completion, the activity continued with the performance of singer Anji Dunia Manji. The warm atmosphere and smiles of the children who were entertained by Anji’s songs added to the happiness that afternoon.
When the song was over, Dompet Dhuafa distributed compensation to 30 orphans who were present with the help of Bens Radio and LPM representatives. With this compensation, Dompet Dhuafa and all parties involved hope to help at least ease the burden on the beneficiaries.
On Monday (8/4/2024), the third event was held as the end of this year’s collaboration. Dompet Dhuafa filled the on-air broadcast on Bens Radio’s afternoon channel. Dompet Dhuafa’s Ramadan 1445 H Chairperson, Rina Fatimah, attended the broadcast as a guest speaker. Starting at 11:00 am, the broadcast led by Puspa Baseri, who is often called Mpok Puspa, began the broadcast with a typical Betawi greeting to loyal listeners.

The holy month of Ramadan is almost over, the day of victory falls on April 10, 2024. At that moment, Dompet Dhuafa and Bens Radio raised the broadcast theme “Mudik Tenang Zakat Aja at Dompet Dhuafa”. Rina explained the various homecoming programs undertaken by Dompet Dhuafa, ranging from Free Mudik targeted at selected beneficiaries to Mudik Posts provided by Dompet Dhuafa at seven points.
Among them are at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, in Serang (Toyomerto Gas Station), Bandung (Al-Mahdiyyin Mosque), Cirebon (Cirebon Power Park Rest Area), Banyumas (At-Taqwa Ajibarang Great Mosque), Banyuwangi (Abnais Sabil Banyuwangi Mosque), and Jakarta (Pulo Gebang Terminal).
“With this homecoming post service, it is expected to provide comfort for travelers who want to rest after a long journey. Various facilities are available at the Mudik Post, ranging from health checks to play areas for children. In addition, Dompet Dhuafa also provides takjil and heavy meals for travelers who stop by. All are given free of charge,” said Rina.
Rina added that mudik is a moment awaited by every community in Indonesia to release longing for family in their hometown. But before leaving for homecoming, as Muslims, we are encouraged to fulfill other mandatory worship first, namely zakat.
