JAKARTA —-— Happiness came to greet the rupiah warriors who usually hit the road with every gas to seek halal sustenance. Smiles and expressions of gratitude radiated along with that happiness. Yellow and green shirts with different applicators did not deter them from always fostering a high sense of solidarity and brotherhood.
They are all online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver partners who received food packages and cash from Dompet Dhuafa at the Tarhib Ramadan 1447 H event titled “Collaboration is Kalcer” at Pasaraya Blok M, South Jakarta, on Saturday (January 24, 2026). The packages were funded by zakat and infak donations channeled through Dompet Dhuafa.
“Alhamdulillah, this event organized by Dompet Dhuafa was really exciting. The distribution of gift packages to the ojol drivers was very beneficial. In addition, the event was also enlivened by many bazaars, health tests, and performances by guest stars Souljah and others,” said Aji (24), an ojol driver from Sukabumi, to Dompet Dhuafa.

“For the gift package from Dompet Dhuafa, I received basic necessities. Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to have come all the way from Sukabumi and received a gift package of basic necessities and gasoline money. Alhamdulillah, thank you very much. Thank you, Dompet Dhuafa,” he explained.
In addition to receiving the gift package from Dompet Dhuafa, he also visited the activity booth, which offered interesting services such as free health checks, photo booths and free printing, interactive games, educational consultations, free massage services, and the opportunity to taste food and beverage products from Dompet Dhuafa’s community empowerment program.
“I tried the photo booth, had a health check, and played games together at the ID Humanity booth,” said Aji.
When asked about his hopes for the upcoming Ramadan month, he expressed a desire to gather with his family in his hometown to celebrate the fasting period during Ramadan.
“My hope for Ramadan this year and this month is that I can gather with my family. Yes, I will return to Sukabumi. Insha Allah, I will return to Sukabumi and be able to gather with my family while I am there,” he concluded.

Not only did they distribute gifts to motorcycle taxi drivers, but during this tarhib event, Dompet Dhuafa also launched one of its special programs for Ramadan 1447 H, namely BeROJOL (Bantu Usaha dan Rawat Kendaraan Ojol or Help Motorcycle Taxi Businesses and Maintain Their Vehicles). The free motorcycle service program will target 1,447 ojol drivers, who will receive tune-ups, CVT cleaning, axle oil changes, and engine oil changes.
This program was initiated by Dompet Dhuafa out of concern for the conditions of ojol driver partners who every day have to battle traffic jams, extreme weather, and the potential for accidents in order to earn a living, whose income can vary greatly. Therefore, Dompet Dhuafa wants to help them through service to support well-maintained and roadworthy vehicles.
In addition to the BeROJOL program, during Ramadan 1447 H, Dompet Dhuafa will also hold its annual Remember program. In this program, Dompet Dhuafa will collaborate with the Indonesian Catering Association (PPJI) and Ancol to provide assistance to around 2,000 orphans.
Not only that, Dompet Dhuafa will also hold a Free Homecoming Program that will target 1,447 people in Jakarta. For the homecoming route, Dompet Dhuafa divides it into three provinces, namely Central Java, East Java, and Lampung.
On the other hand, one of the visitors from Depok, Bobby (40), who attended with his wife and child, also felt the benefits of the booth activities at the Dompet Dhuafa Tarhib Ramadan event, particularly the free massage and health check services.

“Earlier, I tried the blood sugar, eye, and consultation booths. Thank God, there were no problems. Finally, I got a massage. Thank God, I came here from Depok, which is quite far. I also had an event at work earlier, so I was quite tired when I arrived here. It turns out that there is a free massage program, so now I feel recharged,” he explained.
In line with Aji, Bobby also hopes to spend Ramadan this year with his family.
“This Ramadan, I really want to spend time with my family because last Ramadan I had a lot of activities outside. Hopefully, this year will be better than last year in terms of fasting, reading the Quran, and other acts of worship,” he concluded.

The event to welcome the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H was also attended by the Head of Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Juwaini; Secretary of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, Etika Setiawanti; Head of Ramadan 1447 H Dompet Dhuafa, Sulis Tiqomah; as well as all Dompet Dhuafa staff who served as crew during the event.
In this Welcoming Ramadan event, Dompet Dhuafa also carried the slogan “Berzakat itu Kalcer” (Giving zakat is a habit). Ahmad Juwaini hopes that this slogan will remind the community that giving zakat must continue to undergo a process of positive change.
“For example, initially we see zakat as an obligation, then after a while it becomes a habit, and finally a necessity. So that in the end we feel lighter, even as if we are being called. There is something missing if we have not given zakat, not given alms, not given waqf, we feel called,” he explained.
Not only the people of Dompet Dhuafa, the event was also enlivened by guest stars ranging from renowned preachers, Ustaz Maulana, to musicians such as Souljah Karaoke Set, Hendri Tallane, Karaoke Dejavvax x Tebetenk, and Trashic Band by SMART Ekselensia.

The Tarhib Ramadan event was held once again as part of Dompet Dhuafa’s commitment to encouraging the community to prepare themselves as best as possible to welcome the blessed month of Ramadan. This event also carried a message to the community to collaborate in helping others, especially the survivors of flash floods in Aceh and Sumatra.
Held from daytime until night, the event successfully brought joy to visitors and strengthened their resolve to train and prepare themselves to enhance the rewards of worship during the holy month of Ramadan. (Dompet Dhuafa)
