JAKARTA –— The long struggle of patients from various regions who are undergoing referral treatment in the capital city feels a little lighter. This time, the spirit comes from the sincere kindness of little hands in Jakarta.
This act of kindness was received by patients staying at Shelter Sehati, a temporary housing program run by the Community Service Agency (LPM) Dompet Dhuafa, located in Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta, on Monday (November 3, 2025).
This noble act came from the children of Early Years Sekolah Bakti Mulya 400. With empathy, they set aside their pocket money, showing that compassion can be instilled from an early age. The donation was intended to boost the spirits and comfort of the patients during their recovery period.
Feby Saputra, Coordinator of Shelter Sehati LPM Dompet Dhuafa, warmly welcomed this initiative.
“Because here we provide a place to stay for patients from referral hospitals in Jakarta who come from various parts of Indonesia, the donations from the children of BM 400 School will be very useful in helping them during their recovery,” said Feby.

The aid distributed was varied, according to the daily needs of the patients, including bedding, kitchen utensils, toiletries, stationery, and toys for the young patients.
The moment of handing over the donations was filled with emotion and happiness. Wanda Widyawati, one of the beneficiaries, could not hold back her gratitude when she saw her son, Ramadhan, so happy to receive new toys.
“We are very grateful and thankful to the wonderful children who are willing to share their happiness with us who are struggling here. Because of this donation, my child is also very happy to receive it. This is very beneficial for us here,” said Wanda.
In line with Wanda, a look of happiness and emotion was clearly visible on Sumarni’s face, Janna’s mother. Seeing her little daughter’s joy as she received toys and coloring books despite the pain she was suffering, Sumarni offered a prayer.
“Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to see her so happy when receiving this donation despite the pain she is feeling. Hopefully, the donors will receive abundant rewards and their sustenance will be expanded,” said Sumarni.

The presence of Dompet Dhuafa’s Shelter Sehati has indeed become a ray of hope that accompanies and strengthens these fighters for recovery. Sumarni hopes that this act of kindness will continue, so that it can bring more benefits and blessings.
“I also hope that the happiness we feel here will be a reward that will multiply for everyone. And hopefully, there will be more blessings, and we can continue to move forward in the future,” she concluded hopefully. (Dompet Dhuafa)
