JAKARTA — A warm and friendly atmosphere filled the Philanthropy Building of Dompet Dhuafa in South Jakarta on Monday morning (May 19, 2025). The board of directors of Dompet Dhuafa warmly welcomed the arrival of several prominent social activists from various fields. The informal yet meaningful gathering brought together representatives from Dompet Dhuafa with inspiring figures such as Kyai Mahrus Iskandar (Preacher), Gus Romzi Ahmad (Preacher) and his wife Rini Aulia (Psychologist), Gus Zainal Hamdi (Preacher), Inara Rusli (Social Media Activist), Amanda Arumsari (Chef), and Astari Karina Ajani (Entrepreneur).
The introductory session kicked off the meeting with warmth. It was revealed that this gathering is a community-based initiative with a vision to design social engineering and preaching programs with a psychological approach. There is great hope that the synergy with Dompet Dhuafa will give birth to a collaborative platform with aligned goals and vision.
Gus Romzi Ahmad expressed his enthusiasm during the meeting.
“We hope to build sincere friendships and make an impact through collaboration,” he said with a smile.
“We are gathered here for a Quran recitation activity, and we also want to be more useful,” he continued.
In line with this, Inara Rusli shared the motivation that has grown within her.
“I initially just wanted to study the Quran, but now I want to expand my horizons and be part of a more meaningful social movement,” she said, demonstrating her enthusiasm to contribute further.
Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Management Board, welcomed the initiative of these social activists.
“We’re happy to support each other; we think it’s a good idea if friends can also join DD’s branches for adventures together,” Juwaini said.
He added, “DD also has MPZ (Zakat Management Partners) who can even become independent afterward.”

Etika Setiawanti from Dompet Dhuafa added, “DD has several programs under its pillars. There are many areas that can be synergized. Da’wah, women’s economic empowerment, and this moment is also a time for qurbani.”

At the end of the meeting, a special moment occurred when Parni Hadi, the Initiator, Founder, and Chairman of Dompet Dhuafa, took the time to attend. He sincerely stated, “Although I am not feeling well, I wanted to meet you. I appreciate your intentions because I believe you came here with good intentions, and everything begins with intentions. InshaAllah, Dompet Dhuafa is filled with good people. I simply want to welcome you and appreciate your good intentions.”
