BOGOR, WEST JAVA – Goodness can often be found in unexpected places and moments. This time, Dompet Dhuafa collaborated with J-Rocks and Kopi Bajawa Flores to share happiness with orphans. The donations collected from the #BerbagiMusik (Sharing Music) performance in Ramadan 1445 H have also reached the recipients. On Thursday (06/13/2024), 30 orphans from the Arrahmaniyah Islamic Boarding School, Tajurhalang, Bogor, West Java received Gifts for Orphans in the form of School Kit packages consisting of bags and shoes.
Dompet Dhuafa’s Retail Fundraising Manager, Yudha Andilla, said that the Orphan Gift movement is a means of training social intelligence. J-Rocks is clear proof that kindness can come from anyone and anywhere. He is grateful that J-Rocks and Kopi Bajawa Flores can be initiators of kindness for their many fans and have a wide impact.

“What J-Rocks and Kopi Bajawa Flores have done will be an example and a role model. Apart from providing entertainment for young people, they can encourage them to share with others. Dompet Dhuafa, as a philanthropic institution, appreciates them and is happy to be involved in their good activities. Hopefully this will have a meaningful impact on all the children,” said Yudha.
Anton Rudi Kelces, the J-Rocks drummer, was present at the distribution of the Orphans’ Gifts. He was representing the other personnel and expressed his emotion at meeting the orphans from the Arrahmaniyah Islamic Boarding School. He also recounted the journey of the J-Rocks personnel in preparing the Orphans’ Gifts during the month of Ramadan.



“Life is not only in this world, what is eternal is in the hereafter. As long as we have the ability to share in this world, in terms of wealth and time, then we will do so. I am grateful that Dompet Dhuafa is willing to accompany us. God willing, kindness can be rewarded with charity and have a wide impact,” said Anton in his remarks.

Previously, Dompet Dhuafa and J-Rocks held #BerbagiMusik at four Kopi Bajawa Flores outlets in Greater Jakarta during the month of Ramadan 1445 AH. In addition to enjoying J-Rocks music, the audience also donated voluntarily to share kindness with orphans. (Dompet Dhuafa)
