JAKARTA — A music group from Yogyakarta, The Rain, invites The Rain’s Keepers (the name for The Rain fans) to join the sacrifice in the moment of Eid al-Adha 1444 H / 2023. Together with Dompet Dhuafa, The Rain carries the #KurbanbarengTheRain campaign and uploaded it via Its Instagram social media page on June 7, 2023.
The band, fronted by Indra Prasta on vocals and guitar, Anggoro on drums, Ipul Bahri on bass, and Iwan Tanda on guitar and vocals, invited The Rain’s Keepers to buy one cow by the joint venture of seven. Yes, the four members of The Rain joined the joint venture, so three more people can participate.

“Dompet Dhuafa friends will assist us in buying cows and distributing the meat. With the help of Dompet Dhuafa, sacrificial meat was distributed entirely to various corners of the country, to areas that rarely ever received sacrificial meat. Documentation of sacrificial cattle purchases, slaughter schedules, and sacrificial meat distribution reports will be available,” explained The Rain.
At the momentum of Kurbanval 2023 held by Dompet Dhuafa on Saturday (10/6/2023), The Rain was also present and closed the series of events with great fanfare. Located at Martha Christina Tiahahu Literacy Park, South Jakarta, hundreds of people echoed the tone and lyrics of the band’s songs formed in 2001 and released seven studio albums.
On occasion at Kurbanaval, Indra also expressed his gratitude to The Rain’s Keepers, who had participated in #KurbanBarengTheRain, as well as friends of Dompet Dhuafa who helped facilitate sacrificial animals ranging from farmers to slaughter and distribution of sacrificial meat later.

In the series, Kurbanval 2023 opened with a luxurious performance by the Marching Band “Bahana Qu”. Chef Amanda (Master Chef Indonesia Season 10) held a cooking demo of the Maranggi Beef Satay menu. She distributed 500 skewers of Maranggi Beef Satay to visitors who were present to enliven Kurbanaval. After the talk show, the nights became more exciting and warmer with the nuances of angklung performances from Marge Band and Febry Rufi.
