BOGOR — It has been almost two years since the events of October 7, 2023, which were seen as Hamas’ success in defending Palestinian rights that had been violated by Israel, as well as bearing witness to how genocide in Palestine continues to be carried out by Zionist Israel. To date, the incident has claimed the lives of 66,000 people, according to data released by the Gaza Ministry of Health on Sunday (9/28/2025).
However, even in the worst conditions, the struggle never dies. Dompet Dhuafa, as an Islamic philanthropic and humanitarian organization, continues to call for action and raise its voice for Palestinian freedom. One of its efforts is through a strategic partnership with PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia (SBI) Narogong Factory, which has been working with Dompet Dhuafa for more than a decade.
As a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero), SBI reaffirms its commitment to responding to various disasters, both domestically and internationally. This concern extends not only to natural disasters but also to humanitarian crises, including the tragedy affecting the people of Gaza, Palestine.

“It has become a commitment of SBI Narogong Factory, one of our concerns is caring for disasters. We consider that what is happening in Palestine is genocide, so it is only natural that we show concern for our friends there,” said Nur Lailiyah, General Affairs & Community Relations Manager of SBI Narogong Factory.
Israeli attacks have destroyed most of Gaza, displaced about 90 percent of the population, and caused a devastating humanitarian crisis. Experts say Gaza City is facing starvation due to Israel’s total blockade on humanitarian aid. In this case, SBI is providing clean water to survivors in Gaza.

SBI has demonstrated its concern not only for international disasters, but also for disasters occurring within the country. One example of this concern is the distribution of aid to survivors of flash floods in Bali. Aid in the form of food packages was distributed to affected residents as part of efforts to ease their burden.
As is known, the flash floods and landslides that hit Bali on September 9-10, 2025, resulted in at least 18 deaths, with several people still missing, and tens of thousands of others forced to evacuate. In this emergency situation, SBI’s presence is expected to provide a glimmer of hope for the community who are going through difficult times.

In this case, SBI emphasizes that in distributing aid, they always prioritize partners who are accountable and trustworthy. One of them is Dompet Dhuafa, which has been collaborating with them for a long time.
“PT SBI will certainly choose partners who are accountable and trustworthy in distributing the aid,” said Nur Lailiyah.

In response to this, Dompet Dhuafa’s ZIS Collection Manager, Utammi Sri Lestari, expressed her appreciation for the trust placed in them, especially in the collaboration to distribute aid for the Bali and Palestine disasters. She believes that this trust further strengthens the long history of partnership between Dompet Dhuafa and PT SBI.
“Of course, we are very grateful for the trust placed in us to be a partner in the Bali and Palestine Disaster Relief efforts. This is something we greatly appreciate, especially given the long history of cooperation between Dompet Dhuafa and PT SBI,” said Utami.
Moving forward, the collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and SBI can continue to grow, bringing more benefits, and becoming a joint effort to expand the reach of kindness to those in need. (Dompet Dhuafa)
