JAKARTA —-— Dompet Dhuafa, in collaboration with the Indonesian Sharia Insurance Association (AASI), invited orphaned and underprivileged children to play and learn together. The children were introduced to various professions, given opportunities to express themselves, encouraged to develop their creativity, and motivated to learn in order to build a bright future.
This social collaboration initiative is the Orphans and Underprivileged Children’s Edutainment Program, held at KidZania Jakarta, Pacific Place Mall, Senayan, on Saturday (February 14, 2026). The program is designed as an educational and recreational activity that combines play and learning (learning by doing) for children.
“Alhamdulillah, today we successfully held the Edutainment Program, which is the result of a collaborative effort between AASI and Dompet Dhuafa. Alhamdulillah, we were also able to have fun with our younger siblings. Not only did they have fun and joke around, but here they were also able to get an idea of the aspirations or professions they might pursue in the future,” said Miftahul Pakihupiddin, CSR Partnership Officer at Dompet Dhuafa.

KidZania Jakarta is an educational theme park designed as a children’s city that features more than 100 career simulations. These include professions such as doctors, pilots, police officers, chefs, scientists, and others. This environment is specifically designed to support active learning, independence, and character development in children through hands-on play and learning experiences.
This program also serves as a means of channelling zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) funds in a trustworthy, targeted, and impactful way for the wider community. The activity involved 30 orphans and underprivileged children from the Nurul Anwar Orphanage Foundation in Kampung Bintaro, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta.
Pakih noted that this was the first time for these orphaned and underprivileged children to visit KidZania. Not all of them, but for most, this was their first visit. According to Pakih, they were enthusiastic and felt happy while trying out various attractions at KidZania.
“Some were trying the bumper car race for the first time; others were experiencing professions like firefighter, dentist, or even journalist for the first time. “Here, the children are encouraged to try out various professions, which can serve as a mind map or a vision of their future,” he explained.

In light of this social collaboration, Pakih expressed his deep gratitude to AASI for its goodwill, cooperation, and initiative in inviting Dompet Dhuafa to join this charitable effort. This initiative, he added, benefits not only Dompet Dhuafa and AASI but also has a positive impact on orphans, the underprivileged, and the broader community.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Hafidz Azmi, AASI’s Institutional Relations & Membership Staff, stated that this social collaboration is expected to create a positive impact and leave a lasting impression, particularly for the orphans and underprivileged children of the Nurul Anwar Orphanage Foundation as they strive to achieve their hopes and aspirations in the future.
“We will also be distributing care packages to help the children celebrate Ramadan, including clothes and other items. We would like to thank Dompet Dhuafa for their cooperation and collaboration. May Allah the Almighty make this effort easy for us and turn it into a blessing for all of us,” he added.
In addition to gaining creative and educational learning experiences, the orphans and underprivileged children still in elementary school were also given school supplies, items for worship during Ramadan, and educational assistance. At KidZania, they also had the opportunity to film live with actors Niky Putra and Mario Caesar for the television program Dubi Dubi Dam on RTV.

“I went to the RTV studio earlier. I tried being a TV host—it was so cool to give it a go firsthand. Yeah, it was kind of like a shoot, and then it’ll be edited for broadcast later. It was just so much fun,” said Azka, one of the children under the care of the Nurul Anwar Orphanage Foundation.
“My dream is to join the military, but if the training were here, it’d definitely be tough. I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to handle it, hehe,” he added with a grin.
Besides filming, the orphans and underprivileged children are taught to be independent and creative. If they want to try other attractions, they must first find a job to earn KidZos (the official currency at KidZania); these KidZos can be exchanged for various exciting prizes.
Like Azka, Tiara also expressed her happiness after playing and learning there.
“I earned 200 KidZos earlier, but I spent it on playing firefighter and making marshmallows. I’m so happy I got to learn so much here,” she said.
