CENTRAL JAVA —-— As in previous Ramadans, Dompet Dhuafa is organizing a charitable initiative through the Borong Dagangan Program. This time, Dompet Dhuafa purchased the entire stock of ayam geprek from Mr. Parjono, located in the Pasadena area of Ngaliyan, Semarang, on Tuesday (March 4, 2026). This activity is part of an effort to support micro-entrepreneurs while bringing the joy of sharing to the community observing the fast.
The “Borong Dagangan” Program is one way Dompet Dhuafa demonstrates its care for MSME entrepreneurs who continue to struggle to sustain their businesses. Through this program, the entrepreneurs’ goods are purchased in bulk and then distributed to the community as free iftar meals.
Mr. Parjono serves as an example of perseverance and enthusiasm in running a business. For approximately eight years, he has strived to support his family through a simple fried chicken business that he operates every day. From that small stall, he works to meet his family’s needs with patience and hard work.

Mr. Parjono’s struggle in running his business has not always been easy. His right hand is disabled due to a workplace accident that occurred eight years ago. This condition once posed a major challenge in his life. However, his physical limitations have not dampened his determination to continue working and providing for his family.
With an unyielding spirit, Pak Parjono continues to run his business. Every day, he prepares ingredients, cooks, and serves customers who come to his stall. This perseverance proves that limitations are not an obstacle to continuing to strive and remain self-reliant.
Through the “Borong Dagangan” Program, Dompet Dhuafa purchased all of Pak Parjono’s fried chicken offerings for that day. The prepared food was then distributed to passersby and the local community as a free iftar meal. Residents passing by were seen enthusiastically receiving the food packages.

The Head of Dompet Dhuafa’s Central Java Branch, Zaini Tafrikhan, stated that this initiative aims not only to assist those in need of iftar meals but also to provide tangible support to small business owners so their operations can continue.
“This ‘Borong Dagangan’ program is a collaborative effort between donors and Dompet Dhuafa to support SMEs. By purchasing their goods in bulk, we hope to boost business turnover while also inspiring entrepreneurs to remain optimistic in running their businesses,” said Zaini.
He also added that Ramadan is the perfect time to extend the benefits of kindness to various segments of society, including small vendors who play a vital role in the community’s economic cycle. He hopes the blessings of Ramadan can be felt by all parties involved.
Meanwhile, Mr. Parjono expressed his gratitude and thanks for the implementation of the “Borong Dagangan” program at his business stall. For him, this initiative not only boosts his sales but also provides new motivation to keep his business running.
“Thank you to Dompet Dhuafa and the donors who have purchased my goods. May this act of kindness become a continuous act of charity and bring blessings to us all,” he said.

Dompet Dhuafa extends its gratitude to the donors who have participated in this program. Every contribution entrusted to us serves as a source of strength for MSME owners to persevere and continue their businesses.
Through the Borong Dagangan Program, Dompet Dhuafa hopes that more small business owners will be assisted and that the benefits of this kindness will be felt by a wider community, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. This collaborative act of kindness is proof that shared compassion can bring hope and blessings to others. (Dompet Dhuafa)
