JAKARTA — Lembaga Pengembangan Insani (LPI) Dompet Dhuafa through Etos ID held the Youth InspirAction Camp (YIC) 2023. The event which was carried out with the title “Lead The Change” was held at the Auditorium of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday (14/8/2023).
A total of 87 students beneficiaries of the Ethos ID Scholarship from 16 universities in Indonesia will explore their respective abilities and values of Ethos ID. This activity is also a moment for Ethos to get inspiration and motivation as the main fuel to start moving and explore their potential as future youth leaders.
Head of LPI Dompet Dhuafa, Mulyadi Saputra revealed that Youth InspirAction Camp is one of the National Development of Ethos ID activities. YIC is held to increase the capacity of the beneficiaries (spiritual capacity, leadership, as well as managing social empowerment).

“YIC is one of the national coaching tools to improve competence and capacity, hopefully, your competence will grow, and you will grow from time to time at home, namely the Ethos ID LPI Dompet Dhuafa. Today is special, YIC coincides with two decades of Ethos ID. Turning 20 years old, there are almost 3000 beneficiaries who we have delivered to the gate of success,” added Mulyadi.
Etos ID itself is a strategic HR investment program through the improvement and development of the capacity and integrity of youth (students) as a driver of regional development towards an Empowered Indonesia. Etos ID aims to realize regional strategic human resources with integrity, professionalism, and transformation to support the acceleration of regional development towards an Empowered Indonesia.
From August 14 to 18, the beneficiaries participated in a series of capacity-building activities for five days. The activities include Spiritual Camp, Quantum Career Training, Career Coach Distinctive Career, Life Map Master Class, Socio Talks, etc.

Meanwhile, Anes Nasrullah as a representative of the Center for Library Information Services and Manuscript Management of the Indonesian National Library, revealed that with the trust of the National Library as the opening place for the Youth InspirAction Camp, the Perpusnas fully supports and welcomes the efforts to develop Indonesian youth.
“Following YIC is your first step for the next big steps. Welcome to follow this whole series of events, hopefully this program can build constructive thinking in young Indonesians so that in the future, they can contribute to human civilization. Rise, keep going for Advanced Indonesia,” said Anes.
YIC Etos ID was officially opened with gong beating and tumpeng cutting by Bambang Suherman as Program Director of Dompet Dhuafa. Etos ID is committed to organizing scholarship programs that focus on coaching, mentoring, and empowerment through strengthening inputs, processes, evaluation, and continuous development and establishing an innovative learning ecosystem.
According to Bambang, education programs should not only talk about formal education but also education in economic areas, such as asset awareness and functional education programs. The potential for change depends on how committed we are to having a wider influence space.
“The so-called flourishing youth is our ability to enlarge our sphere of influence. In religion, it is clear that the best human being is a useful human being and good words teach about goodness,” said Bambang.
YIC 2023 will be a series of activities to strengthen youth’s spirit and strengthen youth’s foundation and insight to face the campus world’s dynamics.
“We build this ID ethos, to produce new young people every year, to have a straighter perspective on Indonesia and know that the real wealth is this nation. Because this is an asset for us,” he added.
YIC is expected to be the initial momentum to strengthen the value of the usefulness of LPI DD and become a momentum to strengthen the bond of beneficiaries and establish collaborations between program of alumni, figures, and can produce superior human resources who have full awareness and concern for the development of the Indonesian nation better in the future.
“This coaching program is one of the hallmarks of Ethos ID in shaping or giving birth, resulting in a profile that we expected. We have big dreams and hopes for this nation’s next generation,” said Rina Fatimah as General Manager (GM) of the Dompet Dhuafa Education Program.
Institutions such as Dompet Dhuafa are strongly committed to managing the dynamics to become the ranks of the productive generation in Indonesia. So the ID Ethos is part of creating a productive ecosystem that allows the younger generation to grow and develop.
“The ethos is taking part in a positive battle in this Indonesian nation, and that is what we expect,” concluded Bambang.
Nila Adriani, one of the Ethos from the University of West Sulawesi, conveyed a grateful expression.
“I am very grateful and excited of course. Alhamdulillah it was met with friends for a national meeting. Then the amazing speakers who inspired us how to become more active youth and care more about the region.
