JAKARTA — Currently, Gaza, Palestine, is in an emergency condition. More than 43,000 lives have been lost, and nearly 105,000 people have been injured. Meanwhile, around 360,000 houses were damaged and more than 1.7 million people were forced to flee, living without clarity and hope. When the world turns a blind eye, we cannot remain silent.
On Wednesday (20/11/2024) morning, Dompet Dhuafa ‘s Disaster Management Centre (DMC) released the latest Situation Report #34 on the emergency situation in Gaza. In its main highlight, DMC also outlined that for more than 40 days, the besieged people in the Northern Gaza region have faced increasingly difficult conditions to survive.
All UN efforts to help communities in Northern Gaza have been denied or blocked: bakeries and kitchens have been closed, nutrition support has been suspended, and refuelling at water and sanitation facilities remains restricted.
