JAKARTA – The second day of the Jakhumfest 2023 event at Pos Bloc, Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta, is approaching its conclusion on Sunday (29/1/2023). The excitement among tourists was even more intense on this final day. In addition, on the last night, there will be a Sound of Humanity (SOH) performance featuring numerous well-known musicians.
According to the Dompet Dhuafa team’s monitoring, as many as 7000 guests flocked from the event’s entrance to the main stage at around 18.30 WIB. Several workshops in every corner of the room ensure guests are fully engaged.
Children can enjoy various activities during Jakhumfest 2023, including the Disaster Snakes and Ladders booth and disaster puzzle from the Disaster Management Center (DMC) Dompet Dhuafa. This corner intends to educate youngsters about disaster management to reduce the number of people affected by disasters.
Sintia and her son Azka, who tried the corner, decided to spend their weekend at Jakhumfest. Jakhumfest, she believes, is the ideal setting for children to learn about disasters.
“I’m intrigued since I’m explaining a lot to Azka. Well, I noticed a calamity, so you’re already fascinated when you look at this. Azka was ecstatic when he saw a snakes and ladders game being played with a puzzle. As a result, it is appropriate to play when playing.” Sintia elaborated.

The corner no less crowded is Seratan Studio, where visitors will be taught to paint and embroider on canvas fabrics. Visitors can also decorate the tote bags and pouches provided, and the works created can be taken home by visitors.
Other visitors, Aan and Tita, tried practically every corner of the Jakhumfest 2023 event.
“Hopefully, the event can be held continue every year to be able to provide insights too because this is an event as well as a donation, hopefully, more people will come here, not just sharing but the same ones who want to have fun like us, just now go to the quiet room so immediately feel the experience of friends when there is their concert without a sign language interpreter, right, can be closer and communicate with deaf friends, be more able to talk,” A said.
Muis, another visitor, described Jakhumfest 2023 as a very useful event.
“Because I am no longer interested in humanitarian issues, I value 10/10, because, yes, it helps the community because access to therapy is still limited, they help the community for counselling, and there are silang.id also I can relate better with deaf friends. We can communicate via this.
