INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA — In 2024, amidst the euphoria of the holy month of Ramadan, Dompet Dhuafa’s Dai Ambassador, Ustaz Ihya Ulumudin, inspired the Muslim congregation in South Korea with a unique approach. At GOR Incheon, Ustaz Ihya invited them to maintain their health and also the spirit of fasting by playing badminton.
In an effort to encourage physical and spiritual health during Ramadan, Ustaz Ihya invited and led a badminton training session. It was an interesting twist for the congregation: combining sports with spirituality.
Badminton, as a sport that demands quick movements and precision, not only provides physical health benefits, but also strengthens the spirit and patience, important aspects of fasting. In an uplifting atmosphere, the Ustaz emphasized the importance of keeping the body active during Ramadan, while still adhering to the rules of fasting.

The Incheon Sports Center witnessed the overwhelming enthusiasm of the congregation who participated in the sports session. Not just exercising, through the badminton game the participants also felt a bond of togetherness and enthusiasm for fasting.
In addition to the physical health benefits, this activity also helps strengthen social relationships among the congregation at Incheon GOR. They learn together, play together, and worship together. Creating a warm and supportive climate in the middle of Ramadan. Ustaz Ihya also provided an inspiring example of how sports and spirituality can be intertwined and mutually reinforcing.
Through this simple yet meaningful initiative, the spirit of fasting at GOR Incheon was enhanced, while maintaining physical health and a spirit of togetherness among the congregation.
