CAUSEWAY BAY, HONGKONG — On Sunday (10/4/2024), one of Dompet Dhuafa’s four Dai Ambassador delegates departed for Hong Kong. He is Ustaz Ariandi. Alhamdulillah, Ustaz Ariandi arrived in the Land of Concrete in good health and safety after a long journey due to transit and delay in Taipei, China. The other Dai Ambassadors assigned to Hong Kong, namely Ustaz Wildan, Ustazah Aminah Nurfida, and Ustazah Isma Muhsonah will depart on Thursday (14/3/2024).
Ustaz Ariandi arrived in Hong Kong at 01:30 local time. His arrival was welcomed by one of the Dai Ambassadors who has been committed to Dompet Dhuafa for one year, namely Ustaz Husnul Muttaqin.
In the morning, at around 09:30 local time, Ustaz Ariandi was asked to teach tahsin Al-Qur’an and tajweed to the mothers of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) at the Al-Qur’an Clinic. The women who participated in the recitation seemed enthusiastic about the presence of Dompet Dhuafa’s Dai Ambassador.
After filling the activity, Ustaz Ariandi was again asked to fill the recitation for approximately one hour. In his talk, he explained about tips to reach the Prophet’s mahabah and motivation to welcome Ramadan. This was followed by a question and answer session and Zuhr prayer in congregation.
After the Zuhr prayer, the PMI women did not go straight home. They took the time to chat and share their work experiences with each other. Because, Sunday is a moment for them to gather, tell stories, laugh and strengthen the relationship. Ustaz Fajar Shofari as the Coordinator of Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong invited them to discuss and invited them to complain. In fact, among the PMI mothers there were also those who asked to be treated. However, because Ustaz Fajar was rather busy, he asked Ustaz Ariandi to do the healing. Alhamdulillah, after vomiting, the woman felt light and calm.
In the afternoon, after the congregational Asr prayer, some mothers who work in Macau came. Ustaz Fajar organised a meal together and coordinated with all the heads of assemblies in Hong Kong and Macau to make a schedule for the 2024 Dai Ambassador da’wah and daiyah. The schedule must be discussed because there will be various activities besides recitation and lectures while the preachers are in Hong Kong and Macau, such as social activities and others.

All heads of assemblies in Hong Kong and Macau hope that the Daiyah and Dai Ambassadors of Dompet Dhuafa can provide new colours that illustrate the teachings of Islam that provide peace, tranquility, and convenience for its people. So that there can be harmony between religious communities, especially Muslims in the Land of Concrete as a minority. In addition, they also hope that the preachers and daiyah will provide a moderate and better understanding of the teachings of Islam in the midst of diversity.
