ACEH —-— Following the flash floods and landslides that occurred in November 2025, Dompet Dhuafa is now accelerating the construction of Temporary Houses (Rumtara) in Aceh for the affected victims. This acceleration directive for Rumtara was issued after the Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, Ahmad Juwaini, inspected the Rumtara construction site in Pidie Jaya, Aceh, on Wednesday (01/20/2026).
To date, there are already 180 Rumtara units spread across Pidie Jaya and Tamiang. Additionally, land measurement processes are currently underway in North Aceh. This accelerated construction of Rumtara is expected to help survivors secure basic necessities such as decent, clean, and comfortable housing ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Ahmad Juwaini emphasized that Dompet Dhuafa is committed to continuing to help affected communities so that they can welcome Ramadan in comfort.
In line with this, the Deputy Regent of Pidie Jaya, Hasan Basri, expressed his appreciation for the quality of the Rumtara buildings constructed by Dompet Dhuafa. This was conveyed when Hasan visited the Dompet Dhuafa Rumtara site on Sunday (January 18, 2026), as he shared on his TikTok social media account.

According to Hasan, Rumtara Dompet Dhuafa can be a model for decent housing, where one dwelling is allocated for one family and is equipped with private toilet and bathroom facilities. This makes life more comfortable for survivors. (Dompet Dhuafa)
