Dompet Dhuafa Dispatches 11 Trucks Carrying a Total of 75 Tons of Humanitarian Aid for Sumatra Disaster Survivors

PEKANBARU —–— Dompet Dhuafa, through its branches in various regions in Indonesia and abroad, together with communities, brands, organizations, agencies, and institutions from various regions, officially sent aid to survivors of the Sumatra disaster on Tuesday (12/23/2025). The humanitarian aid distribution event, held at the Governor’s Office compound in Riau Province, was officially launched by Acting Governor of Riau, SF Harianto, represented by Zulkifli Syukur, Assistant 1 of the Provincial Secretariat of Riau; and Herdiansah, Deputy Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Board of Directors.

The total aid dispatched was 75 tons, divided into 11 Humanitarian Aid Trucks for Sumatra. This humanitarian aid consisted of rice, water towers, ready-to-eat rendang, mineral water, women’s kits, hygiene kits, children’s kits, sleeping equipment (blankets, mattresses, sleeping mats), Muslim kits, dates, honey, and snacks for children at refugee posts, as well as evacuation and recovery equipment.

All of this aid will be sent directly to two Dompet Dhuafa Disaster Management Center (DMC) response posts in Aceh, namely in the Langsa and Bireun areas. From these two main posts, the aid will then be distributed by the DMC humanitarian team, which has been on the ground and has been helping the affected communities since the first day of the disaster, to various affected areas in Aceh. This is done so that all affected communities can receive aid.
