SOUTH TANGERANG – During the 32nd anniversary of Dompet Dhuafa, held at the Al-Syukro Universal School Hall on Wednesday (02/07/2025), the Head of Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Juwaini, reflected on the journey of an institution that was born out of concern, raised by trust, and grew into a nationwide social movement.
In his address, Ahmad emphasized that 32 years marks a phase of maturity and the beginning of a new chapter in the organization’s struggle. This year, Dompet Dhuafa launched the Communal Industry initiative as the pinnacle of its economic empowerment efforts. This initiative is part of a six-tier empowerment framework, ranging from basic assistance to the establishment of fair and sustainable business networks.

Positive achievements were also reported, with fund collection reaching Rp 223.7 billion by the first semester of 2025, an increase of 7.28% compared to the previous year. Significant increases were recorded in designated donations and endowments. To strengthen public trust, Dompet Dhuafa has also implemented various governance standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 37001 in its processes.
Ahmad Juwaini also emphasized the core values of Dompet Dhuafa that have been upheld to this day, namely: independence, non-partisanship, non-affiliation with any particular religious sect, and non-involvement in practical politics. In carrying out its social initiatives, Dompet Dhuafa positions all parties as equal partners and friends in humanitarian service, including the government and other institutions.

On that occasion, Ahmad also expressed his appreciation to the Founders, former Chairmen, and selected beneficiaries (AWARDEES) who demonstrated that assistance is not the end, but the beginning of a change in life towards independence.
Closing his speech, he invited all Dompet Dhuafa members to renew their intentions and determination in the struggle for social justice for the poor.
He emphasized that this work is not for the glory of the institution, but for those who are waiting for a helping hand: small farmers, women entrepreneurs in MSMEs, children who want to go to school, and every person who longs for a more dignified life. (Dompet Dhuafa)
