YOGYAKARTA -— A joyful atmosphere and enthusiasm for learning returned to Muhammadiyah Piyaman Elementary School in Gunungkidul on Wednesday (September 10, 2025). Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta Branch continued its Sidomukti Class series with a training session themed “Canting Cap Practice and Batik Dyeing Techniques,” which took place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The training was attended by school principals, madrasah principals, and teachers from 10 schools that are beneficiaries of the program.

On this occasion, the participants brought the canting cap results they had made at home. With the guidance of Nurohmad—an artist and lecturer at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta and founder of Omah Kreatif Dongaji—the participants were invited to apply the canting cap to the fabric, then continue the coloring process using two main techniques, namely napthol dip and remazol colet.
