CAIRO, EGYPT — Dompet Dhuafa, in collaboration with the Indonesian Humanitarian Alliance (IHA), has once again dispatched humanitarian aid to Palestine on Wednesday (29/11/2023). In this second wave of deployment, Dompet Dhuafa-IHA sent out 6 of the total 11 trucks, with a primary focus on providing bottled water.
Arif Rahmadi, the Head of the Dompet Dhuafa Humanitarian Delegation Team, explained that the total weight of the aid packages dispatched that morning was equivalent to 176 tons, all intended for the Palestinian people.
“Drinking water remains an extremely scarce commodity. The humanitarian trucks, departing from the city of Belbes in Sharqia Province, Egypt, are expected to travel for approximately 14 hours. We hope that by today, Thursday (30/11/2023), they will arrive at the Rafah Crossing and the aid will be promptly distributed to the people in Palestine,” added Arif.

“We would like to express our gratitude to the donors, all collaborating institutions, and the Indonesian people who have contributed. We thank them for offering prayers and support to the Palestinian people, especially those in Gaza, through Dompet Dhuafa,” Arif concluded.
Previously, on Monday morning (27/11/2023) Cairo time, Dompet Dhuafa and IHA dispatched five humanitarian trucks containing dry food packages such as flour, milk, macaroni, rice, cheese, bean paste, canned meat, and bottled water, in addition to medicines and winter necessities.
Additionally, the Disaster Management Center (DMC) of Dompet Dhuafa, with the support of partners and the community, managed to distribute 1,000 women’s sanitation packages in the northern Gaza area.

Local volunteer partners of the DMC Dompet Dhuafa have been making rounds to the shelters near the ruins to distribute directly to 1,000 beneficiaries.
Moreover, the humanitarian aid in the form of the Dompet Dhuafa Public Kitchen (DD Kitchen) continues to provide daily meals for 1,000 displaced individuals in the Gaza Strip. (Dompet Dhuafa/DMulyadi)
