“The deceased passed away while carrying out humanitarian work. We humbly ask all parties to forgive the deceased for any mistakes he made during his lifetime, whether intentional or unintentional,” said Dr. Martina with great emotion.
“May all the deceased be given the best place at the side of Allah SWT, may all their sins be forgiven, and may all their good deeds be accepted. We also pray that the families left behind will be given fortitude, strength of faith, and sincerity in facing this tragedy.”
This tragedy is not only a loss for Dompet Dhuafa, but also for the people of Sarappo Island who had been eagerly awaiting their arrival. In addition to Imran, prayers were also offered for the late Fitri Mubarak (Head of Liukang Tupabbiring Subdistrict) and Midwife Darma, who also died in this tragedy.
Currently, the bodies of the victims are being returned to their respective homes in Pangkajene and Makassar.
