Dompet Dhuafa Program Services Enliven IGF 2022 Event

JAKARTA — In addition to presenting the 2022 Public Expose, Dompet Dhuafa also enlivened and filled the exhibition booth at the Indonesia Giving Fest (IGF) – Zakat Expo 2022 event at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta. Lasting for 2 (two) days, Friday and Saturday (23-24/12/2022), several exhibition booths were filled with various services and programs of Dompet Dhuafa’s flagship programs.

Lembaga Pelayan Masyarakat (LPM) – Community Service Institute (LPM)

Struggling in social services, proselytizing, and culture, LPM Struggling in social services, proselytizing, and culture, LPM packaged the exhibition by displaying the distribution of its beneficiary areas and screening of proselytizing videos. In addition, LPM also presents a photo spot with one of Mustahik’s figures, as a reminder and invitation to share. There are also young people wearing traditional clothes, also providing drinks from economic empowerment, Madaya Coffee – Masyarakat Berdaya (Empowered Community), for free for booth visitors.

Disaster Management Center (DMC)

Carrying a campaign of environmental care and disaster mitigation, DMC provides souvenirs in the form of t-shirts that read “Because the Earth is Only One” and a miniature keychain of Inflatable Boats. The souvenirs were distributed free of charge to booth patrons who donated to DMC’s humanitarian campaign. Not only that, DMC also set up a Musholla, using a platoon tent with the concept of an Emergency Musholla in an evacuation or disaster emergency area.

Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma (LKC) – Free Health Services

Unlike the exhibitions at other booths, LKC provides health services such as free tension and blood sugar checks there. Direct health checks are a provider of services to build universal health coverage. LKC also presents a game of darts throwing, if the throw hits the right point on target, visitors can immediately bring home a cool tumbler for free.

Lembaga Pengembangan Insani (LPI) – Institute of Human Development

Engaged in education, LPI also presents a good and cool campaign there. Visitors can bring home souvenirs of an iconic miniature Bakti Nusa scholarship and a variety of mini sticker stickers with kindness sentences. There is also a beautiful tote bag with design creations from SMART Ekselensia school students.

Institut Kemandirian (IK) – Institute of Self-Reliance

Born with a vision to become a center for vocational training and business incubation, Institut Kemandirian seeks to form independent and empowered people. Alright, at the exhibition, IK Beneficiaries also showed their expertise in the culinary field. They cook directly, making a snack menu called Kimbab, a type of Korean-style sushi food. Visitors are also busy seeing the making of Kimbab, and can immediately eat the deliciousness of Kimbab there.

Farmer Village and MSME Empowerment (Desa Tani & Pemberdayaan UMKM)

The Economic empowerment program of Dompet Dhuafa, Desa Tani and MSME Products was also present and displayed the products’ advantages. The superior quality of these products is also the result of the management of ZISWAF funds (Zakat, Infak, Sadaqah, and Waqf), as a strengthening of the zakat movement carried out.

Alright, after the opening ceremony of IGF 2022, alhamdulillah, Dompet Dhuafa also received an award of Zakat Awards 2022, in the category of Best Economic Program with its program, namely Desa Tani: Empowered in Your Own Land. This award was conveyed directly by Dr. Taufik Hidayat as Executive Director of the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS), to Udhi T. Kurniawan as GM of Economic Empowerment and Development of Dompet Dhuafa.

“There is a big purpose in the presence of this exhibition. First, of course, to lift the exposure of various zakat institution products and their best amyl, through various excellent programs. Indonesia Giving Fest (IGF) – Zakat Expo 2022 also wants to invite the public to get to know more deeply the zakat institution and the impact it has made,” explained Bambang Suherman as Chairman of FOZ (Forum Zakat), opening and explaining the main purpose of holding Indonesia’s first and greatest good festival, Friday (23/12/2022).

He also said that IGF 2022 is expected to be a forum for interaction for the community and OPZ as zakat managers directly. “So far, fellow zakat institutions have only met from forums and the like, but through this activity, all of them can see each other and measure each other’s products that have been produced. Of course, this can improve the quality of each other’s zakat institution products. We all hope this activity will be a good foothold to strengthen the Zakat Movement in the future,” said Bambang.
