One of the last survivors of the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory was Rizki Fajar from Jakarta and Muad Rosyid from Solo, Central Java. They are 3rd-semester students in Sudan.
“We were evacuated on the seventh day. Because it was indeed a sudden conflict, no one prepared in advance. During those 7 days we stayed in each other’s homes. Because the Indonesian Embassy is closer to the location of the conflict. So each house is safer,” Rizki said when telling stories and chatting with the Dompet Dhuafa Team.
