SOUTH TANGERANG —-– After carrying out humanitarian work during Ramadan, in Shawwal Dompet Dhuafa continues its momentum by rolling out Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) 1443H. This momentum was marked by the holding of the THK 1443H Plenary Meeting, which carried the spirit of “Make Them Happy with Your Sacrifice.” Held at Omah-Ku Pendopo, Ciputat, South Tangerang, the Dompet Dhuafa THK committee presented various strategies for sharing the blessings of qurbani animals with the poor and underprivileged communities in remote areas of the country.
“Alhamdulillah, today, Insha Allah, we will finalize the preparations for Tebar Hewan Kurban 1443H. In terms of sacrificial animals, our partners are ready, even though there has been an issue with foot-and-mouth disease recently. However, insha’Allah, the farmers who are partners of the Sacrificial Animal Distribution program have prepared anticipatory measures and mitigation strategies,” explained Dian Mulyadi, Chair of the Sacrificial Animal Distribution Program 1443H Dompet Dhuafa, opening the plenary session.

During the plenary session, four directors of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation were present and shared strategies for the success of THK 1443H. Starting from communication, collection, service, to implementation and sharia strategies, the directors shared their insights with the THK 1443H organizing committee.
Director’s Sharing
“After struggling through Ramadan, which we have just passed. Now we are rolling up our sleeves again for Tebar Hewan Kurban. Today we are back together at the Dompet Dhuafa 1443H THK Plenary Meeting, preparing the best we can. We are empowering local farmers and partners in areas that are not reached by many institutions. That is the key to the distribution of qurbani at Dompet Dhuafa. Hopefully, our joint work at THK will bring goodness to everyone,” explained Ahmad Shonhaji, Director of Da’wah, Culture and Community Service at Dompet Dhuafa, during the opening of the 1443H Qurbani Animal Distribution Plenary Meeting at Omah-Ku Pendopo, Ciputat, South Tangerang, Friday (5/20/2022).
Then Etika Setiawanti, Director of Resource Mobilization at Dompet Dhuafa, gave encouragement to the Dompet Dhuafa Animal Sacrifice Distribution team. “I am sure that all of you have thought about the best strategies and campaign formulas. However, there are challenges related to the financial conditions after Eid. Therefore, we need to strengthen the messages of kindness and the advantages of the Sacrificial Animal Distribution at Dompet Dhuafa. Of course, we need to understand the target audience and mapping of collection trends, as well as the habits of donors. Paying attention to the available data will guide us in providing services to donors. Hopefully, Allah SWT will bless our work.”

Strengthening Technology and Education
Not only that, Prima Hadi Putra, Director of Business Operation Support at Dompet Dhuafa, also reinforced the two points above. He emphasized education and technology: “We need to oversee the application of technology in the implementation of Tebar Hewan Kurban. We need to strengthen education for our team, farmers, partners, and those who sacrifice animals. This will clarify the terms and conditions of Dompet Dhuafa’s Tebar Hewan Kurban program.“
In the final session, Bambang Suherman, Director of Communications and Strategic Alliances, discussed strengthening the value and communication of Dompet Dhuafa’s Tebar Hewan Kurban program. ”In the realm of communication, we need to expose the humanitarian issues. Because qurbani is an animal market during the qurbani season. However, as a humanitarian organization, it must be aligned with humanitarian issues. Therefore, we release communication materials about the sacrificial animal market and educational messages related to its humanitarian content.
