SOUTH TANGERANG — Humanitarian collaborations for Sumatra continue to emerge. This time, Dompet Dhuafa once again received a donation for Sumatra from Global Islamic School (GIS) 2 Serpong worth IDR 81 million. The handover of the donation took place in the guest room of GIS 2 Serpong school, South Tangerang, on Monday (19/01/2026).
The donation was handed over directly by the Academic Director of GIS 2 Serpong, Ida Halya Balfas, to the General Manager of Resources Mobilization at Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Faqih Syarafaddin. On this occasion, Ida Halya Balfas expressed her gratitude that her party was able to take action to provide humanitarian aid to disaster survivors in Sumatra.
“On behalf of the other leaders, this morning we would like to express our gratitude for being honored and trusted by Allah SWT to be able to share through the partner chosen by the mothers here, namely Dompet Dhuafa,” she explained.

From the collection of donations from parents, employees, and the GIS 2 Serpong Foundation, which have been distributed through Dompet Dhuafa, he hopes that the aid will be useful and can slightly ease the burden on disaster survivors in Sumatra.
In addition, he also said that this humanitarian collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa has reached a mutual agreement. Therefore, this philanthropic institution is trusted by GIS 2 Serpong to carry out the mandate of helping to distribute their donations.
“After various discussions, my friends chose Dompet Dhuafa. Hopefully, I am sure, God willing, Dompet Dhuafa will become one of the distribution partners or agencies established as a form of concern for conditions that require assistance. Perhaps not only limited to our homeland, but also to our brothers and sisters in Palestine and others,” he explained.

Furthermore, he advised Dompet Dhuafa to maintain its reputation and good name in terms of distributing donations.
“We are confident that, God willing, the young people of Dompet Dhuafa will continue to carry out the mandate entrusted to them by all Indonesians with integrity, trustworthiness, and a good reputation,” he said.
“Be an institution that shines, whose presence can be felt in providing assistance and alleviating the burden of our brothers and sisters who are experiencing misfortune,” he continued.
On the same occasion, Ahmad Faqih Syarafaddin expressed his gratitude to GIS 2 Serpong for donating to Sumatra. This donation, he explained, will be distributed through various rapid response programs.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you to the parents, employees, and the GIS 2 Serpong foundation for entrusting their donations to Dompet Dhuafa. These donations will be managed in the form of response actions such as providing ready-to-eat meals, hygiene kits, baby, mother and elderly care supplies, as well as building temporary shelters (Rumtara) and emergency schools,” he concluded.


For your information, all aid distribution from Sahabat Dompet Dhuafa for Aceh and Sumatra continues to be distributed. As of January 19, 2026, the total number of beneficiaries has reached 151,000 people. All of this aid is distributed through various response actions such as basic necessities, public kitchen services, Wi-Fi and charger stations, clean water distribution, baby and elderly care, Rumtara, emergency schools, school kit packages, bore wells, psychological first aid (PFA), and many more.
