ACEH —-— Efforts to restore education after the disaster continue to be carried out by Dompet Dhuafa together with its partners, Jenius and Lazada. Through the Rumah Harapan Siap Sekolah (House of Hope Ready for School) program, the three parties provided tangible support to SDN 14 Juli, Bireuen Regency, Aceh, on Tuesday (10/02/2026).
This program is an educational donation realized through the construction of an emergency school for SDN 14 Juli Bireuen. The emergency school serves as a temporary solution to ensure that the teaching and learning process can continue despite the limitations caused by the disaster. With safer and more suitable learning spaces, students are expected to be able to resume their school activities more comfortably.

Not only providing physical facilities, Dompet Dhuafa also held Sekolah Ceria (Happy School) activities with volunteers from Great Edunesia’s Education Emergency Response (RDP). Through a play-based learning approach, the volunteers encouraged the students of SDN 14 Juli to smile again, interact, and foster a spirit of learning in a fun atmosphere.
In addition to targeting students, attention is also given to educators. The Indonesian Teacher School (SGI) program is also present to provide training for teachers at SDN 14 Juli. This training aims to improve teachers’ understanding and quality in educating students, especially in emergency situations that require more innovative and adaptive learning methods amid various limitations.
To support the teaching and learning process, Dompet Dhuafa also distributed educational assistance in the form of 70 school kits to students. This assistance is expected to help meet the basic learning needs of children who previously lost their school supplies due to the disaster.

Muhammad Shirli Gumilang, Chair of the Great Edunesia RDP, said that school activities play an important role as a space for psychological recovery for children affected by disasters.

“By continuing to attend school, children do not have to remain immersed in sadness at home or in refugee camps. Meeting peers, joking around, playing, and learning together are important parts of maintaining their mental stability,” he said.
Through this collaboration, Dompet Dhuafa, together with Jenius and Lazada, hopes to continue to maintain the continuity of education for the children of Bireuen. Education is not only about the transfer of knowledge, but also about nurturing the hopes and future of a generation that is rising from the trials of disaster. (Dompet Dhuafa)
