BOGOR – After the first batch of fresh chicken packages was distributed to orphans and the poor in May, PT ADM Indonesia Trading & Logistics once again collaborated with Dompet Dhuafa to distribute fresh chicken to a total of 650 beneficiaries, including 560 orphans and the poor spread across Bogor Regency and 90 internal employees of PT ADM Indonesia Trading & Logistics, packaged in an event called “Chicken Day.”
The distribution took place, among other locations, in Tegal Village, Jampang Subdistrict, Bogor Regency. PT ADM Indonesia Trading & Logistics distributed the packages directly to women in the surrounding area of Tegal Village on Tuesday (July 29, 2025).

That day was a moment full of joy, with an atmosphere of happiness filling the air. This event was a form of appreciation from PT ADM Indonesia Trading & Logistics, not only to the beneficiaries, but also as tangible support for the development of livestock farming in Indonesia.
According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas), the current price of live chickens (live bird) in several regions such as Central Java, East Java, West Java, and the Jakarta metropolitan area ranges between Rp13,200 and Rp14,400 per kilogram of live weight. This figure is far below the break-even point (BEP) of Rp19,000 per kilogram, and even lower than the Reference Selling Price (HAP) set at Rp25,000 per kilogram.

“From the farmers’ perspective, we also want to help distribute chickens, which are currently priced below the break-even point. Through this distribution, we also want to promote chickens as a highly nutritious food for the community and support the livestock industry in Indonesia,” said Nadhira Anggita Sari, a trader at PT ADM Indonesia Trader & Logistics.
Furthermore, Nadhira explained that the distribution of fresh chickens is aimed at supporting nutritional needs, particularly protein intake, for children and families.
“We were quite happy today because we met mothers from Tegal Village. We were delighted to see their enthusiasm because we know that chicken is an affordable source of protein today. We also want to emphasize that chicken protein is important for children’s nutrition and family health—a crucial nutrient for children’s development, among other things.”

In addition to Tegal Village, Jampang Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, distribution was also carried out to six other villages spread across Ciseeng, Tajurhalang, and Rumpin Subdistricts. These areas include Rabak Village, Babakan Village, Jabon Village, Tonjong Village, Pondok Udik Village, and Jampang Village.
The distribution of fresh chicken packages was symbolically handed over by Nadhira Aggita Sari, a Trader at PT ADM Indonesia, to Armie Robi, the Program Head of the Madina Zone Area at Dompet Dhuafa.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to PT ADM for assisting us in distributing fresh chicken to the beneficiaries of our program, who are the poor, the needy, the elderly, orphans, and the marginalized. We are aware that currently, the purchasing power of the community and their protein intake have decreased. Therefore, we hope that this initiative will enable the community to continue receiving adequate protein intake from chicken,” said Armie.

Praise be to God, the distribution of fresh chicken packages has brought a breath of fresh air, particularly for Sunarti (42), a housewife who also serves as the head of her household and the sole breadwinner for her family. Her husband passed away three years ago.
“After my husband passed away, I had to provide for my family by selling cooked vegetables to support my children,” Sunarti shared.
Sunarti now sells cooked vegetables, sometimes going door-to-door in the village or delivering orders to religious gatherings. Receiving the fresh chicken has brought her great joy.
“I’m so happy someone gave me chicken and still cares about me. My children are also happy. Sometimes I buy half a chicken. Thank you to ADM Indonesia and Dompet Dhuafa,” added Sunarti tearfully. (Dompet Dhuafa)
