Thousands of Bogor Residents Receive Fresh Chicken Meat from Social Collaboration Between Dompet Dhuafa and PT ADM

WEST JAVA — Warm smiles, light laughter, and an atmosphere of camaraderie filled the air as hundreds of residents gathered at the chicken meat distribution point organized by Dompet Dhuafa and PT ADM Indonesia Trading & Logistics on Thursday (May 15, 2025). Under the cloudy skies typical of Bogor, this simple event left a deep impression on those in attendance.

The Chicken Meat Distribution Program is a collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and PT ADM Indonesia Trading & Logistics. A total of 1,670 packages of fresh chicken meat were distributed to 1,600 beneficiaries spread across five districts in Bogor Regency: Parung, Kemang, Tajur Halang, Ciseeng, and Bantarsari.

This program is not merely a food assistance initiative; it also serves as a form of support for local independent farmers in Tajur Halang and Jampang districts, Bogor Regency. The chickens distributed were raised by farmers in the Madina Zone, both those who are already empowerment partners of Dompet Dhuafa and those who are not.

Armie Robie, Director of Zona Madina Dompet Dhuafa, welcomed the implementation of this program. He said that this distribution program not only eases the burden on the community but also helps local farmers in market absorption.

“We are very happy because the chickens distributed come from local farmers in Jampang and surrounding areas. This means the benefits of the program are not only felt by the recipients of the meat but also by the empowered farmers,” said Armie.

“We hope such collaborations can continue and reach more people,” he added.

In line with this, Muhammad Yunus, Director of PT ADM Indonesia Trading & Logistics, expressed his joy at being able to contribute directly. He even greeted the residents who came and had a light conversation with some of the beneficiaries.

“We are happy to be here and see the happy faces of the community. This is part of our commitment to support food security for small families in Indonesia,” said Yunus.

“Moreover, we highly appreciate Dompet Dhuafa’s initiative to involve local farmers as suppliers for this program. The impact is widespread, not only for consumers but also for producers,” he added.

One of the beneficiaries, Asih (49), a housewife from Parung Subdistrict, expressed her gratitude for the assistance she received.

“Nowadays, I have to think twice before buying chicken because the price has gone up. I am very grateful for this assistance, Alhamdulillah, so I can feed my family. This can be a delicious side dish at home,” she said with a smile.

It is different for Mrs. Siti (35). She said she was greatly helped because the chicken meat package she received could be cooked into several dishes for her children at home. “I’m so happy to receive this assistance. I can cook chicken stew or soup. The children will love it,” she said.

In addition to being a tangible form of mutual cooperation between social institutions and companies, this activity also emphasizes the importance of building an ecosystem of kindness that involves people from various backgrounds, both direct and indirect beneficiaries.

By making small-scale farmers their primary partners in food production, Dompet Dhuafa and PT ADM Indonesia Trading & Logistics have successfully demonstrated that social programs can be a tool for empowerment, not just temporary assistance.

At the end of the activity, the smiles of the beneficiaries were the sweetest reward. They returned home with warm hearts and pockets filled with fresh chicken meat—provisions that not only satisfy hunger but also nurture hope amid life’s challenges, which are not always easy.

“I hope activities like this can continue. So that more people can feel the benefits,” said Mrs. Siti before bidding farewell. (Dompet Dhuafa)
