TANGERANG, BANTEN – In the first week of Ramadan 1446 H, Dompet Dhuafa continues to intensify the spirit of sharing. Collaborating with Supermal Karawaci, Dompet Dhuafa again rolled out the Honor Orphans and THR Family Fighters Program on Wednesday (5/2/2025) at Supermal Karawaci, Tangerang Banten.
This collaboration is not just a sharing activity, but also a source of inspiration for business partners to participate in the movement of kindness. During five years of collaboration, Supermal Karawaci and Dompet Dhuafa have continued to strive to reach more beneficiaries.
This year, the event was packed with various inspiring activities, ranging from watching the movie Jumbo together presented by Visinema Studio, shopping with Matahari Department Store, to breaking the fast together supported by Big Kong Dimsum and Kotjok Tea. Not only that, the beneficiaries also received special gifts from Toys Kingdom, Gramedia, and Hypermart.

As a shopping center with a social vision, Supermal Karawaci continues to expand the reach of its sharing program to those who really need it.
“In this holy month, we want to continue to spread our wings to share, how to convey to all those in need. We cannot work alone, Dompet Dhuafa really plunges directly to the beneficiaries, which is in line with our spirit. Therefore, we are very proud and see that our vision and goals are the same. We will continue to support and be able to collaborate continuously,” said Edie Halim, Director of Supermal Karawaci.

Etika Setiawanti, Director of Resource & Mobilization at Dompet Dhuafa, said that as a national zakat institution that has managed Ziswaf funds for more than three decades, Dompet Dhuafa emphasizes the importance of sharing in a sustainable manner and strives for ongoing empowerment programs that can improve the welfare of beneficiaries. Dompet Dhuafa’s dream is to elevate them “From Mushatik to Muzakki”.
This spirit is in line with the theme “Giving Zakat, It’s So Cool There’s No Medicine!”, inviting the public to understand that zakat is not just an obligation, but also a social investment that can create real and sustainable change through empowerment.

With zakat managed transparently and professionally, the beneficiaries are not only helped economically, but also empowered so that one day they can become muzakki, people who give, not just receive.
“We believe that kindness will always meet kindness. Today is a positive activity to be an inspiration for the people of Indonesia, especially visitors to Supermal Karawaci who indirectly support the good activities carried out by Supermal Karawaci and Dompet Dhuafa. Hopefully more and more benefits will be given to the people of Indonesia, to orphans and family warriors,” said Etika.
In 2024, Dompet Dhuafa managed to reach more than 3.2 million beneficiaries throughout Indonesia, thanks to synergies with various partners, including Supermal Karawaci. On this occasion, Dompet Dhuafa also distributed Eid al-Fitr (THR) donations to family warriors, such as porters who often go unnoticed even though they play a big role in people’s lives.
After the symbolic distribution of the Honor Orphans and Family Warriors Eid al-Fitr grants, 40 orphans will be able to shop to meet their needs in the coming Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

Accompanied by Super Volunteers from Dompet Dhuafa, Aiman Ricky and Risty Tagor. The children were enthusiastic when shopping for their needs. Aiman accompanied Al Ghazali to buy school and Eid necessities, such as shoes, sandals, bags, robes, clothes, and cutlery.
“Today I am with Al Ghazali. MasyaAllah Al is not only self-centered, but also remembers his family. This is an impactful thing that can be a trust for friends too. There are many things we can do, especially being able to make orphans happy by giving zakat,” said Aiman.

Besides Al-Ghazali, happiness was also felt by Azka, Indah, and Mutiara. The siblings also benefited from the collaboration program between Dompet Dhuafa and Supermal Karawaci.
“Today is a happy day, because I was bought things and was invited to go on outings. My brother and sister and I were able to buy clothes and bags for school. Thank you Dompet Dhuafa and Matahari! It was also fun to watch the movie Jumbo,” said Azka happily.
With a spirit of togetherness, this collaboration is not only a form of social care, but also an inspiration for the wider community to continue spreading kindness, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan. (Dompet Dhuafa)
