JAKARTA – On Wednesday (August 16, 2023), Dompet Dhuafa received a visit from Gusti Kanjeng Ratu (GKR) Mangkubumi, Vice Chairman of the National Scout Council. The visit aimed to expand the benefits of the Scout Care Program.
GKR Mangkubumi expressed that Dompet Dhuafa shares the same vision as Scout Care in serving and empowering the community. Especially in December, the Community Service Commission (Abdimas) of the National Scout Council will hold a National Gathering (Munas) where scouts are expected to be able to help and be useful to the community.
“Our purpose in coming here is to build relationships, seek guidance, input, guidance, and support for future activities that support Abdimas. In December, we will hold the National Scout Movement Congress. Of course, we want input from Mr. Parni Hadi in terms of strengthening Scout Care and Abdimas itself. What are Mr. Parni’s expectations? Because now, scouts are expected to be able to help and be useful to the community,” said GKR Mangkubumi in her speech.

Dompet Dhuafa openly welcomed this collaboration initiative. As an institution that continuously strives to serve and empower the underprivileged, Dompet Dhuafa remains committed to promoting all the benefits of kindness that have been carried out since its inception. This was conveyed by the initiator and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa, Parni Hadi.
“With pleasure, Dompet Dhuafa can collaborate with Scout Care. We are capable of collaborating to enhance the effectiveness of the values held by the scouts themselves,” said Parni Hadi.
For your information, Scout Care is the Scouts’ form of concern in facing unfavorable situations for the people of Indonesia. Scout concern is applied in the form of scout care actions, which are scout service activities for developing human resources, disaster mitigation, and environmental preservation.

Furthermore, GKR Mangkubumi emphasized that there are several aspects that need to be synergized with Dompet Dhuafa. These include strengthening aspects that can support various Abdimas programs, such as Scout Village and Ticket To Live.
“The latest Abdimas program is to establish scout villages. Scout Villages are based on scout units’ work. So, both strengthening in Scout Villages themselves and in Scout Care and Abdimas, besides Scout Care, there is Scout Village, and the additional challenge is Ticket To Live. Ticket to Live is based on street children,” added Mangkubumi.
“What Kak Mangku mentioned is all in DD, about disasters, caring for the elderly, health. Alhamdulillah, we have agreed to meet because I initiated Scout Care, as this nation will face challenges if we don’t prepare the young generation with skills and abilities for life. We activate DD for life skill development. Let’s help together,” explained Parni Hadi.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa, Rahmad Riyadi, appreciated the collaboration invitation from Scout Care and Dompet Dhuafa. According to him, this collaboration is part of the effort to solve various problems in society.
“Thank you for the presence of Kak Mangkubumi and Scout Care. It’s a great pleasure that we can gather here because one of DD’s goals is networking. It is part of our work to solve various problems in society,” added Rahmad.
In line with this, Prima Hadi Putra, Director of Communication and Technology at Dompet Dhuafa, stated that this synergy of kindness aligns with Dompet Dhuafa’s Vision and Mission.

“We share common values and vision, in terms of humanity. Then our focus on disasters and the environment. There may be many ideas that we can elaborate on together in terms of the five pillars. We are very open to collaborating again to spread the benefits and humanitarian values wherever we are,” continued Etika Setiawanti, Director of Resource Mobilization at Dompet Dhuafa.
