BOGOR, WEST JAVA – Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Manajemen (STIM) Budi Bakti Dompet Dhuafa successfully held its 23rd Graduation Ceremony at the Swiss-Belcourt Hotel, Bogor, on Sunday (15/10/2023). A total of 70 graduates from the Management Study Program officially earned their Bachelor of Management degrees.
The Open Senate Session for the STIM Budi Bakti Bachelor’s Program was inaugurated by the Chair of the Senate. This 23rd graduation ceremony was themed “Creating Empowered Human Resources with Superior, Professional, Religious, and Sociotechnopreneur Spirit.”
This theme was selected because STIM Budi Bakti aims to produce graduates embodying the Sociotechnopreneur spirit. Its alumni have proven capable of solving social problems using business strategies. Therefore, the concept of ideal, focused, and sustainable social entrepreneurship can be achieved through education aimed at developing entrepreneurship among students.

“Entrepreneurial ability is a fundamental skill that everyone should possess. It involves transforming every opportunity into an economically valuable challenge and leveraging technology as part of the solution to these opportunities,” stated Rina Fatimah, Chairperson of STIM Budi Bakti Dompet Dhuafa.
Sociotechnopreneurship is the integration of social entrepreneurship with the use of technology as a solution to social problems. At the Budi Bakti Campus, four sociotechnopreneur characteristics are emphasized: caring, problem-solving, open-minded, perseverance and spirit (great), and inspirational.
“Continue to learn and grow, and be someone who positively contributes to your community, always striving to benefit others. We hope you become individuals of integrity. Remain humble and filled with gratitude,” added Rina.

Yayat Supriyatna, Secretary of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, attended the event. He congratulated the graduates on completing their four-year education. He also imparted a message to all graduates to apply the knowledge gained in alignment with Dompet Dhuafa’s values of Ta’awun, Ukhuwah, and Musawah.
“Congratulations on your graduation. With these principles as your foundation, we are confident that wherever you work and create, you can evolve into outstanding, competitive, professional, religious, and sociotechnopreneur-spirited human resources, capable of empowering others. This knowledge should also be accompanied by morals and ethics, so it brings benefit to mankind,” Yayat added.
Since 2018, STIM Budi Bakti has been managed by the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation (YDDR). This marks Dompet Dhuafa’s initial step towards establishing Dompet Dhuafa University (DD University).

This aligns with the vision and mission of Dompet Dhuafa as an Islamic philanthropic institution, working with a compassion concept to honor and elevate the dignity of the underprivileged, enabling them to become quality individuals in economic, social, educational, and health fields. This is the primary goal and purpose of Dompet Dhuafa’s establishment: to free the underprivileged from the bonds of poverty.
During the event, the Best Graduate title was awarded, presented directly by Yayat Supriyatna, Secretary of YDDR, and Rina Fatimah, Chair of STIM Budi Bakti. Eka Puji Hati, with a GPA of 3.89, and Indah Purnamasari, with a GPA of 3.84, were the recipients of this honor.
“We are confident that all of you will be able to become solutions to various societal problems,” Yayat continued.

Eka Puji Hati expressed her gratitude and excitement. She acknowledged the significant role STIM Budi Bakti played in her achievement.
“Alhamdulillah, it’s extraordinary, especially receiving the best graduate award. It feels like a dream come true, and I am incredibly happy. This achievement motivates not only me but also my family to pursue higher levels of education. Over these four years, Dompet Dhuafa provided subsidies and other conveniences for expenses, making it easier for a working student like me to pursue my studies,” she shared. (Dompet Dhuafa/Anndini)
