JAKARTA — Bright smiles lit up the faces of the children at the Yayasan Yatim Piatu Rasulullah SAW orphanage in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (April 30, 2025). That morning, the atmosphere in the foundation’s hall felt different. The orphans, who are usually busy with their studies and religious lessons, were full of energy as they welcomed special guests from Dompet Dhuafa, Tokio Marine Indonesia, and Pigeon, who brought good news: donation boxes containing nutritional packages for the 150 orphans under their care.

This donation is not just a box of healthy food. More than that, it was a symbol of care, hoped to help the orphaned children receive adequate nutrition, so their bodies can grow strong and their minds stay sharp to continue learning and pursue their aspirations.

“Through this program, we and Tokio Marine aim to ensure these children receive nutritional support to stay motivated in their studies,” said Pradila Maulia, Social Partnership representative from Dompet Dhuafa.

He also added that this kind of collaboration is important to build a supportive ecosystem, especially in terms of education and healthcare for underprivileged children.

This donation program is also part of a social campaign called “Senyum Anak Yatim” (Smiles for Orphans) initiated by Tokio Marine and Pigeon. Through this program, every purchase of Pigeon products automatically contributes to fundraising for orphans. Interestingly, Tokio Marine and Pigeon are also offering a special insurance product for babies. This promotion allows parents to provide financial protection for their children from an early age while participating in a broader social movement.

Rusdayanti, Chairwoman of the Rasulullah Orphan Foundation, expressed her gratitude and appreciation for this initiative. She explained that the foundation she leads cares for orphaned children from various areas in Jakarta. Some live in dormitories, while others still live with their mothers or relatives but remain actively involved in the foundation’s activities. At the foundation, the children follow a busy yet enjoyable routine, starting from dawn until nightfall. They study, play, pray, and occasionally participate in skill-building workshops.

“This nutritional donation is very beneficial for the children. They become more motivated because they feel that many people care about them and want them to succeed in the future. Here, we not only focus on meeting the children’s basic needs but also aim to shape their character, instill discipline, encourage them to study diligently, and uphold good moral values,” he said.
