HONG KONG — Hundreds of worshippers from various organizations and ethnicities thronged BNI Hall in Admiralty, Hong Kong. The event initiated by Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong in collaboration with Hajj Foundation and IKJHI (Ikatan Keluarga Jemaah Haji Indonesia or Indonesian Hajj Family Association) in Hong Kong is part of a Halal Bi Halal 1444 H activity series.
The General Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong, Imam Baihaqi, also explained the purpose of this activity. In addition to continuing friendship, this Halal Bi Halal activity is also carried out so that Muslims in Hong Kong can be maximized in undergoing Hajj, Umrah, and sacrifice in the month of Zulhijah 1444 H.

“This activity is expected to foster friendship between Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong and various Indonesian communities in Hong Kong SAR and Macau, as well as other ethnicities. For example, from Singapore, Malaysia, and others. In addition, this activity is part of Hajj-Umrah and sacrifice education so pilgrims can maximize the special worship of Zul-Hijah in the region to Baitullah, “said Imam Baihaqi.
Ustaz H Ahmad Fauzi Qosim, Secretary of the Sharia Board of Dompet Dhuafa, was appointed trainer who educated and guided the congregation in the event. On that occasion, the man familiarly called Ustaz Fauzi delivered several materials which included the virtues of practice in the month of Zul-Hijah, the history of Hajj and sacrifice commandments, the virtues of the Holy Cities of Mecca and Medina, the practice of a series of Hajj and Umrah.

H Yolvis Sahardi as Chairman of the Hajj Foundation also motivates pilgrims to be able to perform Hajj wherever they are. Based on the Saudi Arabian Consulate regulations in Hong Kong, Diaspora or Indonesian Citizens living in Hong Kong and Macau SAR can perform Hajj and Umrah through local travel agents registered at the Saudi Arabia Embassy / Consulate in the country.
