PALESTINE – Good news came from Palestine. The humanitarian aid from the people of Indonesia entrusted through Dompet Dhuafa has now arrived and benefitted the people there. After previously rolling out aid in the form of Medical Camp, now Dompet Dhuafa distributes aid in the form of food packages, Tuesday (01/21/2025).
A total of 780 food packages have been distributed since January 21, 2025 in northern Gaza. This assistance targeted more than 4,560 beneficiaries who are still struggling in difficult conditions after the conflict. This assistance was collected as a result of Dompet Dhuafa’s collaboration with joint humanitarian agencies. Not only in the form of basic necessities, the assistance also includes other basic needs such as nutritious foodstuffs that can support the food security of the local community.

After the ceasefire between Israel and the State of Palestine, a number of humanitarian aids were able to enter Gaza. Aid trucks from Dompet Dhuafa managed to penetrate the affected areas and bring new hope to the people who now have to rebuild their lives amidst the rubble. Most of the infrastructure in Gaza was severely damaged, making access to food, clean water, and health services very limited. Therefore, this assistance is very meaningful in easing the burden on the affected communities.
Volunteers on the ground reported that the people of Gaza welcomed the assistance provided. Residents who received the aid expressed their gratitude for the global solidarity that continues to flow. Although aid continues to arrive, the conditions in Gaza are still far from recovered. Local residents still need support and prayers from various parties in order to recover from this difficult situation. In addition to basic supplies, the need for health services, education, and proper infrastructure is still a big challenge.

Like the people of Gaza who never give up hope in defending their land, may we also never get tired of continuing to help and provide hope for those in need. Consistent and sustainable humanitarian assistance will be an important factor in helping Gaza recover and rise again. For those who wish to contribute, donations can be made through Dompet Dhuafa so that more aid can be distributed to people in need.
