“Today, we are not merely hosting a movie screening event. More than that, this is a tangible expression of our concern for the beneficiaries, especially orphaned children who are part of the community’s trust. Through the film Hayya 3: Gaza, we are invited to open our eyes and hearts to struggle, humanity, and the importance of solidarity,” said Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dompet Dhuafa Foundation.
The film Hayya 3: Gaza will be officially released in theaters on June 12, 2025. The film tells the story of a child whose mother, an Indonesian humanitarian volunteer, was killed in Palestine. The film’s release feels particularly relevant given the current situation in Gaza. According to data from the Health Cluster in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, as of May 30, 2025, over 54,000 lives have been lost due to Israeli attacks, while more than 124,000 people have been injured.

“This film presents a realistic portrayal of the conditions faced by the Palestinian people. Through the characters of Gaza and Hayya, viewers are invited to feel empathy for those who must live their lives under constant threat. Hayya 3: Gaza not only offers an emotional story, but also emphasizes the importance of humanity in the midst of difficult circumstances. Insha’Allah, we are committed to Palestine. We, the producers, actors, and partners, have agreed that 40 percent of the film’s proceeds will be donated to our brothers and sisters in Gaza,” said Ustaz Erick Yusuf, executive producer of Hayya 3: Gaza.
The spirit of brotherhood and solidarity must continue to be upheld in the fight for the unfulfilled rights of the Palestinian people. Injustice must be opposed through various means, both through concrete actions and prayers. Dompet Dhuafa remains committed to providing assistance in various forms according to the needs of the Palestinian people.

In addition to inviting children to watch Hayya 3: Gaza, Dompet Dhuafa also distributed aid to orphans. This activity is in line with this year’s spirit of sharing, #MuliakanYatim—an invitation to not only give, but also accompany, understand, and bring happiness. Dompet Dhuafa continues to strive to make orphaned children a priority for all parties, so that more people are involved in efforts that are more powerful, impactful, and provide widespread benefits.
