JAKARTA —-— “I thought, if I can’t go there, what can I do?” Ippho Santosa said to himself.
Concerned about the condition of flash flood survivors in Aceh, Ippho Santosa decided to take further action by collaborating with Dompet Dhuafa on Friday (12/19/2025). The trainer and motivator decided to sell one of his private apartments. The estimated sale value of Rp300–380 million will be fully allocated as aid for survivors in Aceh, particularly in Aceh Tamiang, Lhokseumawe, and Langsa.
“I have an extraordinary connection with Aceh. I am deeply fond of Aceh—its history, its natural beauty, and its cuisine. That’s why, in light of this situation, we believe this step may help alleviate the burden on our friends there,” Ippho said with a trembling voice.

The founder of British Propolis also said that humanitarian support did not only come from individuals, but was also driven by the British Propolis Community. Various forms of assistance were distributed, ranging from cash, 300 jerseys, 250 children’s hoodies, to 1,000 units of Belgie Facial Wash, one of British Propolis’ flagship products, as a form of concern for the needs and recovery of the survivors.
Yes, the condition of Aceh as reported by the media, as described by the volunteers, depicts a situation that is far more heartbreaking than imagined. Not only were residents’ homes destroyed or lost, but a number of villages were even reported to have disappeared, completely buried in mud. The affected areas are now isolated, without electricity and without adequate access.

If likened to a thread, the relationship between Dompet Dhuafa and Ippho Santosa has become a strong bond that has stood the test of time. For more than a decade, Ippho has consistently supported various humanitarian efforts with Dompet Dhuafa. Entrusting his personal donations and assistance to this philanthropic institution is nothing new for him.
“The value of this apartment may not be large. But, God willing, this is a manifestation of our attention and concern. May Allah keep our intentions straight, hoping for Allah’s pleasure. Please pray for us. Personally, entrusting my donations to Dompet Dhuafa is not a new job, not a new thing, because I have been with Dompet Dhuafa for more than a decade, Alhamdulillah,” continued Ippho.
It is no coincidence that this event happened. Of course, there is a great lesson for us, but we also encountered a disaster. Hopefully, we will remember Allah more and increase our trust in Him. Aid will certainly not be enough, so I think that as long as we are still alive, insha’Allah, there will be opportunities for sustenance to suffice for everything.

Herdiansyah, Deputy Chair of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to Ippho Santosa for his consistency in providing assistance, attention, and genuine care to survivors.
“Alhamdulillah, today I would like to express my gratitude to Ippho Santosa, who never tires of providing assistance, attention, and very concrete and tangible care. I would also like to thank the British Propolis community, who are here with us today. Insha Allah, we will distribute the aid to our brothers and sisters in Aceh. I am always moved and proud of Mr. Ippho. When he donates something, it is the best and, insha Allah, it will be beneficial for all of us,” said Herdi.

Ippho Santosa views this disaster not as a coincidence, but as a test full of wisdom. In the midst of the disaster, he invites everyone to remember Allah more and strengthen their attitude of tawakal (trust in Allah). He also realizes that the available aid often feels insufficient, but as long as he is still given life and the opportunity for sustenance, he believes that there is always a way for Allah to fulfill all needs.
