.On that occasion, Prima Hadi Putra also introduced a brief history of Dompet Dhuafa along with the five pillars of the Dompet Dhuafa programs, one of which is the Economic Program.
“One of the downstream economic programs of Dompet Dhuafa, especially in empowering farmers throughout the Archipelago, is the Tebar Hewan Kurban (Sacrificial Animal Stocking) program. So, at the moment of Eid al-Adha, they not only enjoy the fruits of their hard work, but also share with the surrounding community,” explained Putra.
On the other hand, Mariatul Kibtiah or who is familiarly called Lia as the Chairman of THK Dompet Dhuafa 2023 explained that this program has been present since 1994 under the name of Tebar 999. The name Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) itself changed starting in 1997. The reason is, from year to year, it turns out that Dompet Dhuafa is able to surpass the number of 999 in the distribution of the sacrificial animals.

In addition, it was also conveyed that in this Program Tebar Hewan Kurban, Dompet Dhuafa strives to distribute evenly. Not only in big cities, but also targeting remote or hard-to-reach parts of the country, because there are still many people in remote areas, our people who have not received equal distribution of sacrificial animals during the Eid al-Adha.
“There are still people in remote areas who eat meat only once a year, or there are also those who only eat rice with water,” Lia explained.
“THK this year has been 29 years old, since 1994, which is here with the aim of distribution/equitable distribution. Thanks to THK’s donors as well, this program is also not only transactional, but also empowerment. The process is even carried out in advance with Quality Control, whether it is already in accordance with Sharia, and ensuring that the animals are male to maintain their reproductive sustainability,” said Lia.
Elsya Sandria as an Influencer and Super Volunteer of Dompet Dhuafa also shared her experience when participating in the distribution process of Tebar Hewan Kurban Dompet Dhuafa in Masamba, where the road access was damaged and it took 7 hours to reach the location.
“I became the witness, it turns out that in remote areas, there are indeed people who eat meat only once a year. I also took the cows across the river, because the main road was cut off. Until I reached the location of the benefit recipients, they were so happy, they even shouted ‘there are cows, there are sacrifices, eat satay’,” Elsya admitted.

In addition to talk shows, Kurbanaval was also enlivened by Workshop Melukis di Taman (Painting Workshop in the Park) to performances by The Marge, Febry Rufi and also The Rain. Through a series of Kurbanaval activities that day, visitors can also add more insight into sacrificial animals as well as be entertained.
As said by Ayu (23), “Anyway, this event is really exciting and not boring, especially for young people. From the Kurbanaval event I also came to know a lot about sacrifice. It turns out that in addition to ourselves, we can also help people in other places who are in need, so double the reward. Because before, I didn’t really pay attention to sacrifice,” said Ayu, who was present that day.
Dompet Dhuafa also continues to strive to protect the environment, one of which is with a fun sacrifice campaign without plastic bags.
“Usually, in addition to preparing our own containers, residents prepare according to local wisdom, such as leaf containers. Therefore, not only carrying out worship, but Dompet Dhuafa also helps protect the environment,” concluded Putra. (Dompet Dhuafa/Awalia Ramadhani)
