JAKARTA — The Education Fund Management Agency (LPDP) opens opportunities for doctors in the Dompet Dhuafa hospital environment to get specialist education scholarships.
“Please if doctors at Dompet Dhuafa want to register, LPDP is ready to support,” said LPDP Scholarship Director, Dwi Larso, when visiting the Dompet Dhuafa office in Jakarta, Tuesday (27/08/24).
Dwi Larso and the Head of the LPDP Scholarship Cooperation Subdivision, Azman Muammar, met a number of Dompet Dhuafa leaders while exchanging ideas and experiences about their respective institutions.
“There is a lot of input from our discussion today that we can discuss further at LPDP,” said Dwi Larso.
At the meeting, elements of Dompet Dhuafa’s leadership were present, including the Chairman of the YDDR Management Ahmad Juwaini, Member of the Board of Trustees Yudi Latif, Secretary of the Management Etika Setiawanti, Treasurer of the Management Tri Estrianti, and Chairman of the Supervisory Rahmad Riyadi. Also present were the Chairman of MPP (program implementing partner) Education Asep Hendriyana, Chairman of MPP Health Ismail A Said, and Chairman of STIM Budi Bhakti Rina Fatimah.
“Today’s meeting is still about getting to know each other and brainstorming. Furthermore, we will further explore the possibilities of what can be cooperated between LPDP and DD in the next year,” said Ahmad Juwaini.
Regarding scholarships, the most open opportunity at this time for Dompet Dhuafa is for specialist education through the LPDP DS RSPPU Scholarship Program (Scholarship for Specialist Doctor Education Fund Management Institutions at Teaching Hospitals as the Main Organizer). Dompet Dhuafa currently has seven hospitals, one of which is an eye specialist hospital.
“This is an opportunity for DD doctors to take specialist education,” said Yudi Latif.

The LPDP DS RSPUU Scholarship is a scholarship for Indonesians who work as doctors. This program is to support the availability of human resources for specialist doctors in Indonesia.
According to Dwi Larso, since its establishment in 2010 LPDP has managed endowment funds with four programs, namely education, research, higher education, and culture. To date, LPDP’s endowment has reached Rp 154 trillion. From such a large fund, it generates about 10 percent of surplus funds and is distributed to the four programs, especially for scholarships.
