BOGOR, WEST JAVA — Dompet Dhuafa’s Community Service Agency (LPM) together with Institut Ummul Quro Al-Islami (IUQI) Bogor held a Legal Awareness Generation Counseling on Thursday (11/07/2024). The event, which was held in the Auditorium Hall of Building C IUQI Bogor for students and college students, carried the theme “Generasi Sadar Hukum, Generasi Hebat”.
The Legal Awareness Generation Counseling was held as an effort to increase legal awareness among the younger generation, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to become law-abiding citizens.
Kamaludin as Head of LPM explained in his speech that this activity is important to increase the understanding of the next generation about the importance of law. With a better understanding, it is hoped that the younger generation can become a strong pillar in upholding justice and building a better society.
“Many cases occur in society related to legal issues. With this activity and the material presented, hopefully we can all understand more to anticipate problems that occur related to the law,” he said.

The presenters included Reza Indragiri Amriel, M.Crim. as a Forensic Psychology expert who provided psychological review material related to violence between students. Also present were Eko Suwartono, S.I.Kom as a Junior Expert Drug Counselor and Sub Coordinator of the P2M Section of BNNK Bogor, Police Commissioner (Kompol), Agus Supriyanto S.H., M.H as Leuwiliang Police Chief, and Niam Rahmatullah, M.Pd. as IUQI Lecturer.
The participants who attended were also very enthusiastic about the holding of discussions related to this law. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in asking questions related to the material presented by the instructors, one of whom is Ahmad Jaenuri, a student majoring in Islamic Guidance Counseling semester 2, who feels happy to participate in this activity this time.
“The most interesting material is when discussing drugs, we understand more about which things harm us. This event is extraordinary, we can learn many things, new knowledge, new relationships, from extraordinary speakers,” he said.
This event is also part of the Prison Santri Development program, which usually conducts coaching inside the prison. This time, the program took a preventive approach by holding counseling outside the prison. It is hoped that with this legal awareness counseling, every member of the community will realize and appreciate their rights and obligations as citizens, so as to realize a legal culture in attitudes and behaviors that are aware, obedient and law-abiding in social life, and respect human rights.
