Matahari Store menyerahkan donasi pendidikan dan kesehatan kepada Dompet Dhuafa

TANGERANG — Kindness can come from anywhere. One of them is from PT Matahari Department Store Tbk-the largest fashion retail company in Indonesia that has been cooperating with Dompet Dhuafa for 14 years. On Thursday (30/5/2024), Matahari entrusted the donation from loyal customers in the amount of Rp473,893,368 from the total amount of Rp947,786,736 to Dompet Dhuafa at Menara Matahari, Karawaci, Tangerang.

The donations were collected from February 1 – April 30, 2024 via cashiers from all Matahari stores in Indonesia. Chief of People and Culture Officer of PT Matahari Department Store Tbk, Herni Dian Anggraeni conveyed the purpose of the donation, which is to be utilized in the field of children’s health and education. Because it will uplift people’s lives and alleviate poverty in Indonesia.

“Children are the future and are the responsibility of all of us. We (Matahari) focus on educational facilities for children that can enhance their creativity. Then also the health sector related to nutritional adequacy. Hopefully the donations collected from our customers can have a wide range of benefits,” Herni explained.

“We would like to thank Matahari for entrusting us to be part of Matahari’s kindness movement for 14 years. Of course, we welcome it. This is in line with the humanitarian programs that we (Dompet Dhuafa) roll out. Hopefully we can maximize so that beneficiaries receive comprehensive assistance. Later the report will be shared transparently with Matahari and the public,” Etika explained.

The symbolic event in the afternoon was closed by handing over giant checks, souvenirs and several MSME products from Dompet Dhuafa’s community empowerment program by Etika Setiawanti. (Dompet Dhuafa)
