Musicians and Artists Associated with KOMS & HOPE Hold Charity Match for Palestine

JAKARTA –— On Saturday evening (November 8, 2025), at the Urban Sports Dome in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, a number of musicians and artists who are members of KOMS (Coalition of Musician and Artist Activists) Indonesia collaborated with HOPE (Hearts of Palestine) to hold a mini soccer friendly tournament and raise funds to donate to Palestine.

This humanitarian action, wrapped up in mini soccer, also served as entertainment for fans of each musician and band. Several local bands participated in the tournament, including Morfem, Kelompok Penerbang Roket, The Brandals, The Jansen, Down For Life, The Cottons, Pamungkas, and the Demajors Record label team.

“Alhamdulillah, this is an extraordinary event, with enthusiastic musicians, bands, and artists participating in tonight’s agenda. In addition to raising funds in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa for Palestine, we also want to entertain fans with a different atmosphere from the usual stage, this time on a green grass arena,” said Eka Annash, vocalist of The Brandals and initiator of KOMS.

Eka Annash said, “The idea started a few years ago when it became a trend for band members to make jerseys, and each band had their own jersey. In addition, many band members also turned out to be football fans. So, we decided to combine these two things into a charity match tournament for Palestine. We also held a week-long auction for each band’s jersey, with the proceeds donated to Palestine in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa.“

On the other hand, Dimas Muttakin, representative of Dompet Dhuafa, said, ”This activity is a collaboration between KOMS and HOPE to raise awareness for Palestine. Although a ceasefire has been declared, the people of Gaza still live in fear of violence that can strike at any time and brutally hurt anyone. We hope that this series of humanitarian actions will build a strong sense of solidarity in the effort to achieve world peace.”

“We will continue to distribute aid. In recent weeks, Dompet Dhuafa has distributed 3,840 food aid packages to Palestine, with a total weight of around 100 tons. We have also sent ten trucks to Gaza by land, carrying food supplies. Additionally, 200 ready-to-eat meal packages (hot meals) for Gaza children in Jordan and healthcare services, including free ambulances,” concluded Dimas. (Dompet Dhuafa)
