BANTEN —-— The Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) of Cisauk Subdistrict donated Rp33.3 million to help victims affected by the conflict and genocide in Palestine through Dompet Dhuafa on Monday (01/29/2026). The handover of this aid took place at the PGRI Secretariat of Cisauk Subdistrict and was attended by representatives of the PGRI management of Cisauk Subdistrict, Tangerang.
The Palestinian conflict has continued to rage since October 7, 2023. This conflict has caused a humanitarian crisis with a huge impact on Palestinian civilians, especially in the Gaza Strip. According to the latest statistics, by the end of December 2025, more than 72,000 Palestinians had been killed, including tens of thousands of children, women, and the elderly. Meanwhile, the number of injured has reached around 171,000 people. The conflict has also forced nearly two million Gazans to flee their homes, leaving most of the population living in poverty, hunger, and insecurity.
In addition, military attacks have destroyed vital infrastructure such as health facilities and residential areas, exacerbating the living conditions of civilians who depend on humanitarian aid.
Seeing this situation, PGRI Cisauk Subdistrict was moved to help Palestinians affected by this conflict. This donation is the result of a collection from various schools in the Cisauk area, involving active support from the Teachers’ Council and the participation of parents. Through Dompet Dhuafa, this aid will be distributed to our brothers and sisters in Palestine who are currently living in dire humanitarian conditions.

On this occasion, the Head of PGRI Cisauk Subdistrict, Harun, said that PGRI as a professional organization for teachers is concerned not only with education, but also with social and humanitarian issues at the global level.
“PGRI is certainly an organization that focuses on teaching activities and improving teacher competence, but we are also part of a social organization. Therefore, we feel it is necessary to care about the conditions around us, including the conditions of our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” said Harun.
According to him, this donation may not be much in terms of amount, but his party sincerely hopes that it can provide benefits and help ease the burden of those in dire need.

Harun also expressed his gratitude to Dompet Dhuafa for facilitating the process of receiving and distributing donations. He hoped that this collaboration would continue and become a source of goodness and reward for all parties involved.
“Thank you to Dompet Dhuafa for facilitating the distribution of this aid. May this aid be a reward and bring great benefits to our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” he added.
Dompet Dhuafa has been one of the institutions actively distributing humanitarian aid to Palestine through various emergency response programs. The distribution of aid covers basic necessities, medical services, clean water, and psychosocial support for communities affected by the conflict.
Dimas Muttakhin, Community Relations Officer at Dompet Dhuafa, greatly appreciated the kind gesture made by the PGRI in the Cisauk sub-district. He also expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in them.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you for the trust given by Kang Harun and his colleagues at PGRI Cisauk Subdistrict who have trusted Dompet Dhuafa as the conduit for donations for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Insha Allah, we will deliver these donations to the rightful recipients so that we can alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters there. And may Allah reward our colleagues at PGRI Cisauk District and all donors involved with manifold goodness. Aamin,” he said.
With the humanitarian situation in Palestine worsening, marked by high casualties and an increasing urgent need for assistance. Collaboration between local communities in Indonesia and international humanitarian agencies is expected to continue to help save lives and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
