ACEH —-— Dompet Dhuafa continues to strengthen its role in assisting communities affected by flooding in Aceh by providing basic necessities such as access to clean water. This time, Dompet Dhuafa, together with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and Tokopedia, has provided five borehole wells equipped with toilet facilities in flood-affected areas. In his speech, Herdiansah said that access to clean water is a fundamental need that cannot be delayed, especially for communities recovering from the impact of disasters. Dompet Dhuafa views clean water as a primary need that supports the lives, health, and economic sustainability of communities.

“Through the construction of these bore wells, we want to ensure that the people of Aceh not only recover from the disaster, but also have a strong foundation to regain their strength. Cross-sector collaboration is important so that the impact of the program can be felt widely and sustainably,” said Herdiansah.

The location of the borehole in the market area was chosen based on the immediate needs of the community in the field. This is because the market is the center of activity for residents and MSME actors. With the availability of clean water, we hope that the market environment will become more hygienic, economic activity will resume, and the community can carry out their activities more properly after the disaster.

Agus Sulistio said that this program is a manifestation of the company’s commitment to responding to the needs of communities affected by disasters. The borehole and toilet construction program is part of the Langkah Baik social initiative in Aceh, which collects public donations through an integrated digital donation scheme for IM3 and Tri credit and data package purchases on the Tokopedia app.

“This initiative is a tangible manifestation of Indosat’s commitment to always be there for communities affected by disasters, especially in Aceh. Through a digital donation scheme integrated with the purchase of IM3 and Tri data packages on the Tokopedia application, we invite customers to not only enjoy telecommunications services, but also contribute directly to empowering communities and restoring vital infrastructure in Aceh’s traditional markets,” he said.

In line with this, Hilmi Adrianto emphasized the importance of the role of digital platforms in expanding social impact. According to him, the collaboration with IOH and Dompet Dhuafa not only provides access to clean water through the construction of bore wells, but also strengthens our support for MSMEs affected by disasters through the UMKM Bangkit program.

“This initiative is expected to help MSME players expand market access, while ensuring that social assistance is distributed appropriately to those in need in Aceh,” explained Hilmi.

Support for the recovery of MSMEs was also appreciated by Maman Abdurrahman, Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia. According to him, access to basic infrastructure such as clean water is very important so that MSME players can resume their activities and serve the community.

“We appreciate this collaboration, which not only provides social assistance but also tangibly strengthens the MSME ecosystem so that it can recover, become competitive, and grow again in Aceh,” said Maman in his speech delivered by Zulkifli.

Through the construction of these bore wells, Dompet Dhuafa hopes that the benefits will be felt sustainably by the community, both in terms of health, the environment, and economic recovery. This collaboration is part of a joint effort to care for and rebuild the lives of the people of Aceh after the disaster. (Dompet Dhuafa)
