PSU Group, Equinox Shipping Group and PT SA Distribute Humanitarian Funds to Cianjur

JAKARTA — PSU Group, Equinox Shipping Group, and PT Sanggraha Adijaya distributed humanitarian aid to Dompet Dhuafa, on Friday (9/12/2022), at the Globe Building, Pancoran, South Jakarta. The aid worth Rp15,365,000 was collected from employees on the basis of concern for the earthquake that hit Cianjur Regency a few weeks ago.

The three companies entrusted Dompet Dhuafa as an extension of kindness. On the other hand, as a philanthropic and humanitarian institution, Dompet Dhuafa will ensure that all forms of aid that was entrusted, are always distributed optimally and on target.

On the occasion of this handover, Indah Yulianti as HR Director of Equinox Shipping Group expressed her sympathy to the victims affected by the Cianjur earthquake. All company employees also expressed their condolences for the disaster that was experienced by the brothers in Cianjur.

“We are from PSU Group, Equinox Shipping Group, and PT Sanggraha Adijaya, we express our condolences for the disaster that hit Cianjur. We hope that through Dompet Dhuafa, we can channel the entrusted goods from the colleagues, especially in sanitation and healing programs for children affected by disasters,” she said.

During the distribution, Dompet Dhuafa plans to target the procurement of clean sanitation for victims in the affected refuge areas. As for its implementation, Dompet Dhuafa will forward this sanitation program to the Disaster Management Center (DMC) as a special program unit for disaster management.

To Equinox, Strategic Corporate Partnership Dian Sukma Riany said, currently the need that was the most important priority was the procurement of good sanitation. This included the construction of the public toilets. In Pakuon Village, Sukaresmi District, for example, the refugees there only used cubicles made of clothes to bathe and defecate.

In addition, another need was the Psychological First Aid (PFA) program for children. This was very important to do in the third week after the incident to minimize the risks of post-traumatic impacts. Living together in one refuge tent would certainly made a psychic impact on children if it was not immediately anticipated. This PFA program could be implemented in the form of emergency schools, cheerful schools, and cheerful parks.

Dompet Dhuafa continuously updates the needs so that the distribution of aid to the victims can be right on target and evenly distributed,” said Dian. (Dompet Dhuafa / Muthohar)
