LOMBOK, WEST NUSA TENGGARA — Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) is back on the island known as the Island of a Thousand Mosques. Yes, THK on Lombok Island has gone through the Quality Control (QC) stage, which is a measure to ensure the quality of the sacrificial animals entrusted by donors so that they are always in accordance with both sharia and health requirements.
A total of 25 cows were distributed on Lombok Island. The animals were distributed to 25 areas, namely Ampenan, Batulayar, Gunungsari, Lembar, Kuripan, Narmada, Lingsar, Sekotong, Labuapi, Jurang Jaler, Jago, Sangkowati, Genteng, Batukliang, Pendem Janapria, Bangket Parak, Ketare, Pujut, Bujak Batukliang, Batunyale, Praya Tengah, Sembalun, Sajang, Aikmel, Jerowaru, Sekaroh, Suela, and Sukamulia. The total number of beneficiaries from these 25 areas is approximately 2,500 households.


The distribution points for sacrificial animals were selected based on criteria, namely areas with residents living below the poverty line, prone to poverty, who have never received sacrificial animals, and who are earthquake survivors.
Although Lombok is known as one of Indonesia’s tourist destinations, data from the West Nusa Tenggara Central Statistics Agency (2021) shows that the number of poor people on the island of Lombok is approximately 534,170. Based on this, Tebar Hewan Kurban is located on the island of Lombok so that our brothers and sisters in need can also feel the joy of Eid al-Adha. Based on this, Dompet Dhuafa wants to continue collaborating with various parties in order to serve, help, and bring happiness to those in need.

The distribution of sacrificial animals on Lombok Island, which took place from Sunday (July 10, 2022) to Wednesday (July 13, 2022), saw Dompet Dhuafa partner with Laz Dasi NTB to collaborate on the distribution of sacrificial animals. “The community is very happy with the sacrificial animals distributed by Dompet Dhuafa in Lombok. They are very grateful to Dompet Dhuafa and the donors because the areas we distribute to even have meat to eat when Eid al-Adha arrives, and even if there are sacrificial animals in those areas,” said Saidun Ali, a member of the Laz Dasi NTB team.
