JAKARTA —-— One qurban animal you donate may seem like a small gesture. But in the hands of Dompet Dhuafa, that sacrifice turns into smiles in 102 regencies and cities, hope in 788 villages, and joy for our brothers and sisters struggling in 7 countries—including Palestine, Somalia, and Syria.
This is the spirit behind The Kurban Series 1447 H, titled “Prepare Your Best Vehicle,” which was launched at the Kurbanaval 2026 event at Cibis Park, Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Saturday (May 2, 2026).
Three Decades of Trust, One Goal
Dompet Dhuafa has been running the Qurbani Animal Distribution Program (THK) since 1994—for more than three decades, supporting Muslims in performing the Qurbani ritual in a trustworthy, transparent, and impactful manner. From just hundreds of animals at the start of this journey, Dompet Dhuafa’s THK Program now reaches the far corners of the country and extends beyond geographical borders.
“Since 1994, Dompet Dhuafa’s journey in distributing sacrificial animals has continued to grow. From hundreds of animals, it has now reached the far corners of the country and even abroad. It is not merely about distribution, but about empowering farmers, bringing smiles, and creating benefits for the sacrificers, the farmers, and the beneficiaries,” explained Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation (YDDR).

This year, Dompet Dhuafa partnered with 48 livestock farmers from across Indonesia and 3 global partners to ensure that the distribution of qurbani reached those most in need—whether in remote villages or in countries currently ravaged by conflict.
Qurbani That Transcends National Borders
In 1447 AH, Dompet Dhuafa’s THK Program reached seven countries: Myanmar, Somalia, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Sudan. In these countries, many fellow believers celebrate Eid al-Adha under far from easy conditions—limited food, ongoing conflict, and hopes constantly being tested.
“The sacrifice we make may seem simple to us personally. But for our brothers and sisters in conflict zones, a Qurbani offering can be a long-awaited source of joy,” said Ahmad Juwaini.
This cross-border Qurbani mission is not merely about distributing meat. It is about showing compassion—and conveying the message that they are not alone.
Kurban Express: A Practical Solution, Still in Accordance with Sharia
As part of The Kurban Series 1447 H, Dompet Dhuafa introduces its latest service: Kurban Express (Direct Sale). This service is designed for individuals, communities, mosques, schools, and companies wishing to perform their kurban in a more practical and efficient manner—particularly in the Jabodetabek area.
- What does Kurban Express offer?
Direct delivery of high-quality qurbani animals to the sacrificer’s location—in healthy, well-cared-for condition and ready for slaughter in accordance with Sharia regulations. No need to go through the hassle of searching for and selecting the animals yourself.
“With this service, those performing the sacrifice not only gain ease of access and time efficiency but also ensure that the animals received are healthy, well-cared-for, and ready to be sacrificed in accordance with the requirements of the Qurbani ritual.”
— Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation.

Strict Quality Control: Your qurbani is definitely valid
Every qurbani animal from Dompet Dhuafa has undergone a strict quality control (QC) process based on five key parameters:
- Live weight of the animal meets standards
- Excellent health and physical condition
- Age of the animal is sufficient according to Islamic law
- Slaughter is performed hygienically and in accordance with Islamic law
- Targeted distribution to beneficiaries
With these standards, donors need not worry about the validity of their sacrifice. Every animal is ensured to meet all requirements before slaughter takes place.
From Farm to Table: Local Farmers to Remote Areas
Dompet Dhuafa’s 1447 H Qurbani Animal Distribution Program is designed to create a dual-impact effect.
Upstream—empowering farmers
Dompet Dhuafa partners with supported farmers and local partners across Indonesia as beneficiaries in the livestock sector. Through intensive mentoring, this program fosters the emergence of resilient, self-reliant farmers.
Downstream—equalizing meat distribution
In many remote areas of Indonesia, sacrificial meat remains a rarity—even on Eid al-Adha itself. Dompet Dhuafa is committed to prioritizing distribution in these very regions, ensuring that the benefits of the sacrifice are truly felt by those who need them most.
“In Jakarta and major cities, particularly in upscale residential complexes, people often receive more than enough qurbani animals, while many other regions are far more in need.”
— Indro Warkop, Public Figure & Loyal Sacrificial Donor of Dompet Dhuafa.

Sacrifice as a “Vehicle to Heaven”
The theme “Prepare Your Best Vehicle” took on a unique meaning for Elang MV, a motovlogger who attended Kurbanaval 2026.
Qurban as a vehicle to heaven—if we look at it from an automotive perspective, we must prepare our vehicle to the best of our ability for comfort and safety while riding, and we must upgrade the engine or gear so that the motorcycle is always in good condition and well-maintained.”
— Elang MV, Motovlogger
A fitting metaphor: the best qurbani is not just about the monetary value, but about the sincerity and devotion in preparing it.
