BOGOR, WEST JAVA — Change does not always start with big steps. In fact, every major change starts from the little things we do every day, from caring for ourselves to extending to caring for others.
One form of this concern can be seen in the collaboration program between Dompet Dhuafa and Y.O.U Beauty entitled “Change #StartsWithYOU”. This program seeks to provide real benefits for those in need, especially during the month of Ramadan. It is hoped that this kindness will inspire many people to continue spreading benefits to others.
The collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and Y.O.U has been going on since 2022 and is now entering its fourth year. This form of collaboration is in the form of a Y.O.U product campaign with a donation value, where a portion of each product purchase will be set aside to help others. The main focus of this program is women and children in need.

This year, the assistance provided includes 75 food packages for mothers and the elderly, as well as school kits for 25 orphans. In addition, iftar packages were also distributed to orphans and the elderly in Rancabungur District. The symbolic handover of aid for the Berbagi Buka Puasa (Breaking the Fast Sharing) and Parsel Ramadan (Ramadan Parcel) programs was handed over by Marlina, Y.O.U’s Public Relations Manager, to Utammi Sri Lestari, Dompet Dhuafa’s Partnership Manager, on Friday (7/3/2025).
Aminah (59) is one of 75 people who received assistance. She is a traveling merchant. Every day, Aminah goes around the village selling donuts and porridge that she makes herself. Aminah is a mother who has had to fend for herself since her husband passed away. She is forced to sell in order to support her three children.
“Even though I’m old, I still have to sell, what else can I do for my children, they’re not married yet. I walk around, carrying a container for cakes, going around the village, thank God, there are people who buy,” said Aminah.
Not long after, she wiped away her tears because she was touched to receive assistance. Aminah’s fatigue did not discourage her from selling for the sake of her child. Meanwhile, she herself had lung disease.
“Alhamdulillah, I am touched and happy that my mother was given help like that. I’m just sad because I’m sickly, afraid that my mother’s children will have no one to take care of them, because they no longer have a father. Thank you very much for giving me this, the food basket that I want to use for my daily needs. Good luck, stay healthy, blessed be the help. Thank you very much,” she said with a faint smile.

In addition to Aminah, happiness was also felt by Raifa Azzahra (10). A happy smile radiated from the face of Raifa, a 4th grade elementary school student who that afternoon received a bag and school supplies from a collaboration program between Dompet Dhuafa and Y.O.U.
“I’m happy because I got a gift, a bag and school supplies. The bag can be used for school, and if it gets dirty, I can get a new one. I usually only have one bag, I only buy one if I want to go to school,” he said innocently.
Marlina, Y.O.U Public Relations Manager, said that concern for women’s health is also part of this campaign.
“Today we have an activity with Dompet Dhuafa where this is one of a series of campaign activities from Y.O.U in this month of Ramadan, namely Change #StartsWithYOU. The goal is to inspire and also invite every individual, especially women, to initiate positive change that can start from within by doing small things that make every step count, such as not only practicing self-care as a form of self love, but also caring for others, especially other women and children, who are also among the vulnerable,” she explained.
Furthermore, another form of care provided is by distributing sunscreen to the community. This is done in an effort to support women’s health, especially in skin care. In addition, the provision of sunscreen also aims to educate the public to start protecting themselves by using sunscreen regularly.
Utami Sri Lestari, Partnership Manager of Dompet Dhuafa, expressed her appreciation to Y.O.U for contributing to the welfare of children, the elderly and the poor in Rancabungur District, Bogor Regency.
“Alhamdulillah, today Dompet Dhuafa is collaborating again with Y.O.U in the month of Ramadan 1446 H. In this case, we, as the management of Dompet Dhuafa, would like to thank Y.O.U and all of its staff and consumers who have contributed to this program. Hopefully, Y.O.U will become a leading brand that is increasingly blessed and caring towards the surrounding community and increasingly spreading benefits throughout Indonesia,” said Utammi.

Also attending was the Head of Rancabungur District, Bogor Regency, Dita Aprilia. Dita said that the presence of this activity was expected to make the people of Rancabungur more prosperous and able to enjoy the blessings of the month of Ramadan.
“Hopefully this will be an inspiration for the community to be able to help each other and help each other starting from a small environment such as neighbors. It is hoped that Dompet Dhuafa can return to the community of Rancabungur District,” said Dita.
Through this movement, it is hoped that every individual, especially women, can take on a role in creating positive change, starting from small steps that have great meaning. By taking care of skin health, one not only increases self-confidence, but also ensures that the body remains protected and well-cared for, so that it can continue to share kindness with others.
