Solidarity from Markets4you for Survivors of Mount Lewotobi Amidst the Threat of Danger

JAKARTA — After a long dormant period of over 10 years, Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, has become active again over the past year, following its first eruption in October 2024. Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, showed signs of activity again on Monday (7/7/2025). This time, the eruption was accompanied by a thick column of ash that rose to a height of approximately 18,000 meters above the summit or about 19,584 meters above sea level.

Based on observations by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the eruption showed a very strong explosive character. Lava flows were also observed spreading westward for approximately 3,800 meters and northeastward for approximately 4,340 meters from the eruption center. The gray to black ash column was observed drifting toward the north, northeast, and northwest.
