Sudanese Conflict

A significant issue in the conflict in Sudan is the plan to incorporate some 100,000 Rapid Support Forces (RSF) into the army. The two generals differed over who would then command the new army.

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the RSF militia group blamed each other for the incident. The SAF-RSF has repeatedly blamed each other during the fighting that has been going on since Saturday (15/4/2023).

They blamed each other for violating the ceasefire agreement first. Since April 20, 2023, the SAF-RSF ceasefire has been repeatedly announced. There were repeated violations. Not only with rifles, they also attacked each other with cannons and air strikes and deployed armored fighting vehicles. (Dompet Dhuafa/Anndini)
